Yes. It is inserted from the inside of the front cover. The clear sleeve [that holds your photo] that slips in the slit inside the cover is 4x5 inches and the window on the front is 4x4 inches.

Can the pages also display vertical photos?

Hello, this album has a bi-directional page which allows you to display 2 horizontal 4x6 photos or 1 vertical photo per page.

Does the leatherette come in Red?

i didnt see a red on when i ordered only black and brown very nice photo album

Is the plastic protective covering on inside peel back, so you can easily place photos & write in memo area?

Is doesn’t peel back. There are individual photo holders to slide each photo in. It’s very nice and space to write your memory. I highly recommend.
