I really liked the ambiance it added to my room specially the scent contrary to what others claimed. It is also more manageable compared to sphagnum and more aesthetically pleasing. Some of them turned green especially the top probably due to algae growth but it doesn't look mushy like sphagnum. The only downside is the moisture retention as I need to double the frequency of how often I sprayed my sphagnum before. Review: Has a forest odour - Bought for mixing with soil for creating Terrarium soil mix as a moisture holding component. Since I am not using as a bedding for reptiles I can't comment on how it will suit a pet reptile. Odour is quite strong. Four stars because of the odour.
