This is a jar of amazing, silky smooth goodness!
I'm not a clay expert at all, but I do remember years ago using store bought "clay" masks (you know the ones - where the clay is in the bottom 1/4 of the ingredient list). What I don't remember is the softness that last for over a week after using those store bought "clay" masks - but that is exactly what happened with the La Lune Naturals Bentonite Clay!I originally purchased the clay for a detox of my arm pits, hoping to clear up some irritation that started a couple of months ago after years of natural deodorant use. I went a little overboard on my first go around with this clay, making entirely too much for just my arm pits (clay + apple cider vinegar), so I went ahead and used it as a facial mask, too! This clay is silky smooth and feels wonderful! There is a slight warming sensation when used on your skin, but nothing that I found too uncomfortable. Of course, after rinsing the mask off, my skin felt soft, even those store bought "clay" masks did that, but what was truly amazing to me was the softness that last for well over a week!! My family, I'm sure, thought I had lost my mind, as almost every day I kept saying: "Feel how SOFT my face is!! I LOVE CLAY!!" (As an aside, they did agree that my face was *VERY* soft!)So, happily I went about trying to find other things I could use this clay for, so I proceeded to try it as a hair mask (there's a great recipe book that comes via email from La Lune when you purchase the clay). I don't use store bought shampoos, so "washing" my hair with odd concoctions isn't really all that new to me, but I will admit to being a bit apprehensive at first! I have thick, wavy hair that reaches to my tailbone, so that's a LOT of hair. Having not learned my lesson with the arm pit/face mask (no one has ever accused me of being quick), I again made too much - even with all of my hair! I think it is just hard for me to believe that such a little amount of this clay can go so far! The batch of clay/green tea mixture I made lasted over a week (in the fridge), so I was able to use it twice. I generally only wash my hair once a week, but with this clay/green tea mixture, I was able to go 10 days between "washes"! My hair was soft, manageable and *NOT* oily AT ALL - I only "washed" after 10 days because I had been working outside and gotten sweaty! After the success of the clay with my hair, my pits and my face, I began to actively look for reasons to use this clay on OTHER people - it became my mission to convert/convince others to the greatness of this clay! My oldest son is a mechanic and struggles with eczema & just generally irritated skin on his hands and arms. One evening, during a particularly itchy eczema outbreak, I convinced him to let me try the clay/apple cider vinegar/tea tree oil mask on his elbow. Now, I've been using essential oils for years in our home, so my family is pretty used to me listening to health/wellness issues they are having and replying with: Ohhh, I can make an oil mixture for that! (Or, an even more frequent response: Just put some vinegar on it, you'll be fine!) We had tried a couple different oil treatments for his eczema, but none of them seemed to really help. His elbow on this particular evening was just plain nasty - scabby and oozing and itchy! I mixed up some clay, apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil, pulled on some medical gloves (the gloves were because of his elbow *NOT* because of this clay) and slapped my clay mixture all over his elbow, covered it with some gauze and had him just go about his business for a couple hours (the plan *had* been for him to sleep with it on, but the tape for the gauze was bugging him). His elbow didn't look much improved after we removed the clay, but the next morning it looked a bit clearer; within about three days, with no other products being added or any more clay being applied, his elbow was CLEAR!How much do I love this clay? So much that I bought my first jar on/about April 28, 2016 and am now awaiting my second jar (ordered yesterday, May 24, 2016) - perhaps I can get it through my head that a little really DOES go a long way with this clay!

Didn’t work for me🥺
I am absolutely disappointed with my purchase. The reviews gave me high hopes but the money went to total waste. When I first got the jar, I was happy to see how big was. However, as I tried to make it into a paste, it was a gulp of clay, even after adding water over and over, the consistency was never like a mask. It was hard to put on, and after I put on the mask, my skin stared to irritate and itch. Even after taking it off, my skin felt heated and itchy. I have really oily acne prone skin. I had high Hopes from this mask, the reviews made me even more helpful. But alas! It’s prolly not for me.

It's not for sensitive skin
I liked that you could mix this yourself and the clay consistency. I'm not sure if it was detoxing my skin or just irritating it because after a minute of having this lathered on my face, my skin started itching and felt like it was burning which usually happens when I use certain sheet face masks with ingredients that are harsh for my skin. This only happened to me and not the 3 other people who also did it with me, so it could have been another factor playing into the irritability.

Indian Healing Clay
This is true to its name, "healing clay" . This is my first time purchasing from this seller. They not only provided a good product, but an ebook on different ways to use the clay.I had a couple of pimples break out on my face and I applied it to the affected area and after two days it was gone. I also used it as a deep cleanser on my hair and it works wonders, left my hair cleansed and soft.Very good product!Thank you,Yvette

You mix into it what you like, depending on what your skin needs
This arrives as a dry scoopable product. It is pure and ready to use. You mix into it what you like, depending on what your skin needs. Therefore, you will probably be able to have approximately 10 or more facial masks out of this one jar. Just add water or even apple cider vinegar (cleansing, simulating, acidic balancing, antibacterial) and perhaps a few drops of oil (sesame, olive, or cosmetic grade oil) and maybe some brewed green tea, raw honey, open a vitamin C or E capsule and mix it all up into a creamy salve. Apply, relax from 10 to 30 minutes. When you rinse it off and follow up with a moist warm cloth, you skin will feel smooth, very clean, soft and balanced. I have mature, acne prone skin. I must keep pores clear or trouble will start. I had been using a spa product, 2 oz for $29, but I think this is my new best item.
