Really liked this lamp, got it after seeing something similar at a baby and toddler group and it’s been a lovely addition to the house. I’ve had it for a while now and only used distilled water as recommended, and it’s still working perfectly, just like day one.My son was obsessed with it at first, loved watching the bubbles and colourful fish, but like most things, the novelty’s worn off a bit. That said, he still enjoys it and I find it genuinely calming. It’s decorative, soothing and adds a nice sensory touch to the room. I do wish there was a nice on off switch. You can adjust the bubble flow which is nice. The brightness is just right, it's easy to use and very easy to handle, I've moved it when full despite not recommended as it is quite light.If you’re after something that’s both relaxing and visually engaging, this is a great pick. Holds up well and looks brilliant, I think it's good value.

First Impressions and Product Information.Product description states it is boxed twice with the inner box being suitable as a gift. This is not the case as it was just the outer box. Nothing major but worth noting. On first impressions the lamp looks great. It is sturdy and well made for the price with only the branding on the front letting it down visually. It is powered by a standard mains plug but does not have an off switch. The dial at the front is used to increase/decrease the flow of the bubbles, however the bubble volume indicator is rather small to read with it not quite working as labelled and so requires some playing around with. The RGB lighting is wonderful and cycles through various colours every 7 seconds but there is no option to leave it on a solid colour. There is a slight humming coming from the motor which is to be expected but isn’t loud enough to be off putting.Performance.Product description states there are instructions but none are included with the lamp. How to use it or set up information has been provided from user experience. Various reviews have said to use distilled water which I purchased from Halfords for around £4. The bottles are 5L with the lamp requiring around 4.5L. Tap water may be suitable but for this review hasn’t been tested. The fish provided are known to float due to trapped air when in use with suggestions to soak in the water for 8 hours or washing detergent until they descend. I placed the fish in the tube with bubbles set to max without any pre soaking/cleaning and within 25 minutes the fish were floating up and down (see video). When turned off the fish then float to the top until turned back in again.Verdict.After leaving it running for 1 hour there have been no changes with the fish floating to the top. The noise of the motor hasn’t increased and there have been no water leakages. Purchased for a one year old who I’m sure will love it. Highly recommended

We got the Straame Bubble Fish Lamp about 2 years ago, and it’s still a hit with the kids, they use it almost every day! The bubbles and colorful lights are really engaging and make for a fun, calming addition to their room.It’s held up really well over time, too. The pump and lights are still running smoothly despite daily use, which says a lot about the build quality althought the dial at the front has become loose over time. Setup was simple.The only thing I’d change is including a gallon of distilled water. I had to buy it separately to get the lamp running, and it would have been super convenient (and worth paying a little extra) to have it ready to go straight out of the box.Overall, a fun, durable lamp that’s brought a lot of joy over the past couple of years, definitely recommend if you’re looking for something kids will actually keep using.

Delivery by Evri was a day earlier than expected, which was a nice surprise.I've brought these bubble lamp with fish for around 8 years. Having brought my first one after I saw my daughters & how much my Grandchildren were mesmerized by it (to be honest, so was I).This one is alot quieter than my previous ones, which is a very welcome change.I noticed on the reviews that people were commenting about the "fish not moving & only float at the top of the tube". I learnt how to combat that, when ever I had a new lamp, I washed the new fish in warm, washing up liquid water, rinsed away the suds & popped straight into the tube, I've never had a problem with my fish "swimming" after doing that.I reckon each lamp lasted me between 2-4 years, obviously each was made by different companies, so it's just my personal experience so far.I simply adore these lamps. They make such an unusual focal point in my livingroom.

Good quality lamp. It's pretty sturdy but we've anchored it to the wall using 4 inch guttering clips so it doesn't get knocked over as this is in my son's sensory/play room. The lights are bright and colourful. Very reasonable price and was well packaged. My son absolutely loves it.

Heavy, very loud, unstable on a flat surface, the bubble button doesn't actually do anything and the fish dont move, they remain at the top. I bought this as a night light to help my 5 year old relax and feel a little calmer if he wakes at night, but you can hear this through the whole house. Waste of money. Looks cheap too. I can also see this as a accident waiting to happen - if it gets knocked over, the lid is not secure and the sheer volume of water is going to cause some damage.

It is good looking bubble lamp however there isn't a switcher for turning it off and on I have to unplug it all the time. It's noisy. The fishes are plastic so not sure why the instructor say to soak them in water for 8 hours. My daughter likes it tho . For the price it s nice. I wouldn't buy again. I would probably spend more and get something less noisy.
