Mine came today, CHINA, twice on this page it says USA but the box says Made in China.

Senior female with bad back looking for ergonomic way to spread ice melt/salt in winter. Is this ideal product? Any product recommendations?

I returned this broadcast spreader because the gears slipped. I have an old spreader that does the same, trying to find a replacement. I am seeking one with metal gears not plastic. This is a light duty, not sure it will spread heavy rock salt effectively for you.

Will it work for forage kochia seed that is smaller then alfalfa seed ?

Yes, it will work for any seed. Not many smaller than slaphappy but it shuts down to nothing. It really is a nice little seeder.

How much fertilizer will the bag hold? 10 20lbs?

I have only used mine for seeding, but I would guess 10-12 pounds.

Better than the earthway half the price I've been using earthway for years and they don't last as long as I think they should so today when I needed to replace mine I ordered this chapin I'd never heard of them and was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived extremely well built the crack moves easily and smoothly the cutout for your hip is perfect I'm not bothered about comfort whilst using but this fits nicely and balances it out nicely as I say well made

Absolutely a life saver. I bought this for work, since they kind of make you use the worn out hand spreaders.... and I got tired of just cranking my wrists up. This is a beast of a machine and gets jobs done in no time.I will say the "1" option doesn't really do anything and be sure to close it every time or the product will spill out everywhere. If you are using it for pest control, this can be a big issue.Overall the product fits comfortably, holds a lot of product, and is perfect for what it cost.
