I'm not a mushroom person because I got allergic to mushrooms many years ago and have forgone them ever since. After watching Fantastic Fungi, the documentary, and hearing the health benefits--and having terminal health problems--I decided to take a chance. It worked just like they said it would in the film for 2.5 weeks. Unfortunately, I've had to cut way back. I'm still allergic to mushrooms and this inflames my intestines so badly that nothing will take away the pain or even reduce it, including a ton of allergic reaction remedies. I'm not sure I can get the full benefit of taking the small-dose pills I made out of this powder--it's not as much as I wanted to take a day, the amount that worked on my terminal illness. I think the dose is too small, but even at this dosage maybe I will be able to reduce my health issue over time. Maybe not, but I'm very glad the label said that it should be taken 1-3 times a day and is already listed at a very low dose. This had me believing I could take it at all. Despite the intestinal pain, I will continue to take this as much as I can stand to keep improving on the changes that have already occurred because what I'm treating is usually terminal. Hopefully, my very small dose will work over time. I'm holding out hope. The powder alone is very dry and almost impossible to swallow dry--it's a choking hazard for someone like me. These are the reasons I'm using a sprinkle of the powder in my spice jar and have resorted to creating minute dosage pills made with vegan capsules.
