Gentlemen vs Cigar vs Rocky Mt, Liberty and Honest Amish
Okay.... so I've been an Honest Amish user for a couple of years. That said, their balm tends to go rancid if you use too much and don't fully wash it out in a day or two. The last can I got seemed to be on the edge of going bad and was smelling funky by the end of the day. So.... time to start looking for another brand. I've tried a few over the years and haven't been very impressed. Grave to Shave has had some good review so I decided to give it a go. WOW! Very nice! Not crazy oily, makes my beard feel fantastic (softer than Honest Amish) and it smells GREAT. When I was reading reviews, I couldn't decide between the Cigar scent and the Gentlemen's "bourbon" scent. Well.... I ordered this two pack of both and discovered something VERY interesting! They're the same scent! The only difference is the cigar scent is far stronger and a tad smokier. The Gentlemen's scent does NOT smell like bourbon. Both are more like a smoky vanilla scent. The cigar scent seems stronger and Gentlemen's lighter. I like the Gentlemen's version because I don't necessarily want it to overpower my cologne. The balm is awesome, seriously, I'm super impressed. I've tried Honest Amish, Rocky Mountain and Liberty.... I think think Gentlemen's Grave to Shave is hands down the best out of that group. It's so good that I doubt I'll ever try any others.

A+++++++++++
If you are reading this, just press the purchase button. I do not work for this company nor write reviews for products. EVER. Until today. Nolan Ryan is the strike out king. Elvis is the king of rock and roll. Michael Jackson is the king of pop, and Grave before Shave is the king of beard balms. Scent is spot on for it's name. Ignore the reviews about scents not matching the names. Ignore melted product comments. It's 105 degrees today in the suburbs of Dallas Texas. The hold, scent, delivery, softness, texture, etc is off the charts. If NASA were to take on the challenge of creating a better option, I guarantee they would fail. Whoever this group of people are as a company, must be some sort of visionaries or mountain men, or some type of combination. I have no more to say. If you don't get this beard balms, then you are missing out, just like someone who missed out on apple stock purchases in the 80s. This stuff is crazy awesome. First time reviewer and new fan of Grave before Shave. So long honest Amish! I hope they are looking for investors, because I'm gonna be rich!

Love it. Best I've tried.
GBS beard balm is awesome. I'm somewhat new to the TRUE beard game but I've tried several brands now and this is by far my favorite beard balm. I have fairly balanced hair in the sense of course VS fine strands. The balance between hold and softness that GBS beard balm gives me is superior by far to other products I've used. Some are too oily or too waxy and don't come out well enough when shampooing, or too thin for any kind of decent hold, but this is perfect. Holds well for me even if I get my beard wet (like getting in the shower prior to actually washing my beard), but also comes out easily enough for me to not have to shampoo three times.The scents I've tried are bourbon (gentleman's blend), cigar vanilla, and headhunter. I LOVE the gentleman's blend, but I could see how it wouldn't be for everyone - don't expect it to actually smell like bourbon but know that it's a pleasant, manly scent that my girlfriend adores as well. Cigar vanilla threw me off a little bit at first, but quickly grew on me and became a second favorite. Don't think cigar when you hear the scent name - think leafy, pre-burnt tobacco with a hint of vanilla; it's very nice. The headhunter I'm on my third day of and I'm a little unsure about. I guess I was hoping for more of a fruity scent and less of a floral scent, and it doesn't deliver that. The headhunter is not unpleasant, but also not really what I was looking for, but don't let that discourage you - my girlfriend likes it. I can't take any stars off for this and it's still an amazing product and I'm happy to use it.I highly recommend this product.

Great product
So like any other beard balm, it seems really hard until you really dig your finger into it, then it's perfect. Smooths into my beard good and has decent hold to tame the stragglers that always try to make you look disheveled.As for scent, don't let the cigar blend name fool you. It doesn't smell like stinky cigar rooms. Think of a vanilla walk in humidor. You know...that really good smell.The gentlemans blend smells good but is not very strong.Take everyones opinion on how this product smells with a grain of salt. Some people say they love it, some people say these are the worst ever. Just remember, some people also think patchouli smells good. For smells you just have to roll the dice. Personally, I think both of these smell really good. Out of the 2, i think the cigar blend smells the best. Overall, I'm really happy with both products. Will definitely buy again

Really, Really Love The Gentleman's Blend
I wish I was only reviewing the Gentlemen's Blend - Bourbon Scent. I purchased the dual pack of Gentleman's Blend and Cigar Blend in the hopes that I would love both of them. Unfortunately, I don't care for the Cigar Blend and I'll get into that first.The Cigar Blend is labeled as Cigar/Vanilla scent. What I was hoping for was a fresh tobacco and light vanilla bean scent that I've come across in some men's hair products. Unfortunately, the sent is actually way too reminiscent of the older decorative vanilla candles my grandparents used to have in their living room. It's not a 'bad' smell but it's also not a smell that I want coming from me. I won't be able to finish the tin of the Cigar Blend because it's just not a good scent for me.On the other hand, the Gentleman's Blend is fantastic. As others have said in their reviews, the Gentleman's Blend doesn't smell like bourbon. I think it's funny that some people are disappointed by this. Do you really want your beard to smell of very strong booze? Instead of thinking of it as smelling like bourbon, think of it as hints of bourbon and a smell that works very well while sipping a good bourbon. It's really a wonderful smell that is very hard to explain in words.The texture of the Gentleman's Blend is a little weird. It's kind of grainy instead of smooth like other balms and waxes. However, once you put a small dollop on your hands and rub them together it warms up and smooths out like any other balm or wax. The application is no different than any other product I've used and the grainy texture does not detract from the quality of the product in any way.Lastly, I want to mention the hold and control of this product. My beard has a lot of gray in it and gray hair can be unruly at best. I use a few different products because I like to switch scents every day. One of the other brands I use is Viking Revolution. I love their products but if I had a complaint it would be that the wax/balm does not hold very well at all. That is not my experience with Grave Before Shave products. The balms work as a conditioner but also hold just enough to not be heavy or leave behind an overly oily residue. My beard will hold it's shape all day when I use GBS products and I can't tell you how much I love that.Overall, I love GBS products. While I won't purchase the Cigar Blend again I will purchase the Aphrodisiac and Gentleman's Blends. Grave Before Shave has a customer for life with me.
