Or will it be too thick and the case won’t close properly anymore** A: Yes you can. I followed one of the reviewers’ advice of using hot (not boiling) water. I filled a container with some hot water. Put a pair of dish washing gloves on to provide some protection for my hands against the hot water. Put the top screen cover in the hot water and gently push the screen out. Very easy to remove.
