Just ok
Works ok. Intakes/stores a lot of water, flemzy on the end. Base pole is really long and will stick awkwardly out the bag. I had an old more sturdy version that I lost. (Don’t remember the brand)

if you have water magnets in your golf balls like I do, you have to have one of these.
love it! after 5 years of actively golfing again i finally broke down and got a ball retriever. I really like how easy it is to use. put the cup over the ball, press down, twist and it's yours. In the 5 weeks I've owned this i haven't lost a ball yet (now i jinxed it). Some reviews say they couldn't get the shaft to compact again, it's a twist lock. you pull the shaft out twist it to lock in place. One thing i noticed in the first couple uses were the plastic covers where the shaft fits into the handle covers the shaft (like it's supposed to do) and makes it sometimes hard to unlock. I found if you slide that cover up then you have a half inch or so of metal sticking out of the handle to grip to unlock the shaft. never had an issue after discovering this.I golf 2 or 3 times a week, and since i got this 5 weeks ago i have collected 61 balls, that includes a number of balls i hit in the water and was able to recover. I've found myself hitting near the water so i have a chance to collect balls now, or so i use as an excuse! If it's a slow day on the course i'll walk or drive by each water hazard. My only regret is going with the 12 ft and not the 15 ft. i might give this to a co-worker and order the 15 ft.

Recommend for sure
First thoughts before buying.... its cheap & I hope it works.Long story short, I've collected over 80 balls with it in some pretty gnarly areas where one couldn't get to. Most of my retrieves were done 1/2 - 3/4 extended and it worked as it should. When extended fully, it does get a little wobbly and a tad tricky to get over the ball, but it works. (what do you expect from 10' out?). The collector took a minute to get used to, but once you do its smooth from there on out. I like to place the cup over the ball, then rotate it over and the ball is then cupped. Its a tad heavy as well and I expect it to last a good while as long as its not abused.Would I buy again...? Yeah buddy!

Ball Retriever is great but shipping was awful
The Ball retriever is great. It is just like one my husband has had for years. This one is for our grandson and ge likes it. So the product is great but the shipping was awful. It supposedly shipped on December 13 and was to arrive by December 28th at the latest. We even received daily updates starting December 30th that we would receive it that day. This went on until January 7th when it finally arrived

Exactly what I expected and needed.
If you golf, eventually, you will hit your ball into places you can not reach. I do that more often than I want. I purchased this ball retriever to assist when this happens. As expected, I got a chance to use it the first time I golfed after I put it in my bag. It worked exactly as I had hoped. I was able to retrieve my ball and play on without digging another ball out of the bag. This ball retriever extended easily and the cup got the ball with very little effort. I found and retrieved the ball quickly and played on without delaying play. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

Golf ball fishing pole
Works fine after you learn how to use it. Simple really.

Good Performer
I had a similar construction ball retriever that didn't work very well. The plastic retriever mechanism recently broke. The new one is all aluminum and works as advertised.

Great Product
I have purchased this item previously & absolutely love it. Bought it several times for gifts for my friends. Don't go golfing without it. Gets balls out of water, snake hazards, ant hazards, and keeps you from possibly having to jump over ditches.I haven't had to buy any golf balls unless I just wanted to since I bought this gadget. In fact, I keep enough to supply my friends with free balls, no kidding. It's relaxing to me to go 'fishing' for balls.GET IT!

Great Product
Arrives very fast, in my kitchen it works well. Can't test till spring on the course.Somewhat long for the golf bag, like almost driver/3W long but seems to be a overall good product.I like the metal ball grabber and the fact it can be disassembled for cleaning / lubrication.

Wait and See
Quality appears good but I am not as impressed as i had hoped to be with the ease of picking up balls. Hopefully practice (not that I need more balls in the water) may help but the jury is still out for me on this system for retrieval.
