to cook pasta and rice. this py is very handy because its lid can be locked as required. indeed very useful

It was a defective product which was sent to us. Although, it was delivered in 4 weeks, delayed, yet it was a defective piece. Would request the authorities to check the product before sending it to the customer. We can wait for the delayed time, if the product received would be not a defective product.

Wasted money. Lid doesn’t fit. Was a gift for a relative. They did not mention it was defective. Return window has long passed. Do not buy. Crap product.

I've bee waiting to find this pot for the longest time!! I first saw it in being used by a famous Italian chef and was blown away by the locking lid. I recently found it here on amazon and HAD to order it. It arrived fast(thanks to prime!) and I put it to good use right away. The pot is light which is usually not something I'm fond of, however its made really well with great quality materials so the heat dissipation was better than I expected from such a light thin pot. The lid locks on very easily making it extra convenient for use. I've owned the pot for a couple weeks now and made a few dishes with it and so far I love it . The color is very nice too lol. Great Pot, definitely recommended for those like me who love to cook at home.

I bought this pot to replace my old pasta pot that was Teflon coated aluminum. It is a nice heavy weight and very easy to clean. Being completely made of stainless steel, I could easily use it in my oven as well. The lid was stiff to lock initially but has loosened up enough that it’s easy to lock. My old pot also had a locking lid which is a great safety feature. Overall, a wonderful pot!

We bought this to replace a Cuisinart stainless steel traditional pasta pot with colander insert. The Cuisinart was rusting after 5 years and from day one impossible to keep starch deposits out of the glass cover or clean the colander insert. After a month using the Bialetti I can report that it not only looks good, but works great. The lid fits perfectly to drain. No issues with it being too tight or falling off. There is no need, so far, to hold the lid down while draining as others have reported. The non stick interior coating is a breeze to clean after pasta. We even used the pan to melt marshmallows for Rice Krispie cookies; again easy cleanup. We've cooked a variety of large and small pastas in the pan and all work well. The oval shape works as advertised for longer spaghetti and linguini. Yes you need to wait a few minutes to get it completely submerged but overall a much better fit than our old round/tall pan. Compared to other stock pots and the aforementioned generally disliked Cuisinart pasta pot, the Bialetti is light weight and easy to maneuver. We should have done this years ago.
