BerneWomen's Softstone Duck Insulated Bib Overall

Comfortable, warm, and durable
I have always been a Carhartt girl and own a lot of it. When I found these Bernies I wanted to compare especially at such a bang up price! My daughter had a pair of Bernies overalls for winter when she was little and they lasted and lasted and kept her super warm! I got a small and medium not sure what size I would fit into. The smalls fit perfectly but my fear is with any washing or shrinking they would suddenly NOT fit as well. The mediums are a little bit big but I think if I am going to layer with a sweatshirt they will be perfect. They are flattering and the length is perfect for me. I am 5'5 about 140lbs. They are a tad loose but I would rather a little layering flexibility in winter than too tight. As for durability and waterproof they honestly have the same exact feel as the Carhartt insulated bibs. I'm excited to try them out this winter!

Quality women’s workwear
Finally! I’ve been trying to make men’s work clothing work for my female/curvy/short body forever and it never does fit right. These pants are cute AND functional!! I’m 5’2” and wear size 16/18 pants (I’m closer to an 18 than a 16 with a big butt and thick thighs) and the xl short are PERFECT. That never happens. No problems fitting a hoodie and a pair of sweatpants underneath. It seems like the sizing assumes you’ll be wearing a layer underneath. Now, on to the features that make these great-working and not just great-fitting. The front pockets at the hip are nice and spacious and there are snaps on the sides that let you access the pockets on the pants you’re wearing underneath (genius). These are very warm and feel like they’re already broken in (my carharts felt like cardboard for so long!) The zippers are nice and long on the front and sides, which makes getting in/out of these so much easier. The zippered back pocket is a nice touch! 10/10, would buy again and will recommend to all my cool-weather farming/snow shoveling gal pals! If I could request one additional feature, it would be a little slot for a pencil on the chest—there is one on the side.

Wonderful quality!!!
It's the middle of Winter where I live......temps in the 20's & 30's.....and we are doing demolition on my house before we can start rebuilding (thanks to a Tornado, and slow insurance company). I don't like getting dirty, and needed to stay warm, so I purchased these to wear over my clothes and hoped they would keep me warm while working. I also wasn't sure what size to get because I wear a different size on the top than I do on the bottom (come on ladies, I know I'm not the only one with that problem). With all of that said, here is my review.....I purchased size Medium (size 8-10 according to their size chart) and it fit!!! A little loose in the bottom half, and a little snug on the top half (38DD). And it did the job keeping me warm....YAY! The fabric is sturdy, and there are pockets, and a hammer loop, and full-length leg zippers. What more could you ask for. They are quite comfortable and I'm glad I bought them.I purchased Berne brand because I have had a Berne jacket for years and absolutely love it, so I knew these bib overalls would be quality.

Finally Bibs That Fit The Petite Women
Had been searching for a pair of bibs for my wife that actually fit. At 5'1 and 105lbs it's not an easy task. Most bib's that are even marked extra small still end up being to big. I should clarify that by big they are usually to long, and even when cinched all the way up they still drag on the ground.I was about to just buy a pair of Carhartt's and have them altered until I came across Berne and though I would roll the dice. Needless to say we were not disappointed. So happy to see that a company finally got the small women's bib right without having to resort to a children's version. The material is soft yet durable. The stitching is quality as are the zippers and snaps. Keeps her nice and warm while ice fishing here in Alaska. They fit over Xtratuff boots perfectly, and because they actually FIT the cuffs don't drag on the ground. The material is not what I would call waterproof, but it does shed snow fairly decent. I might treat them with some Revivex and see how that goes, but for out of the box they perform as expected. It's great to see a company that actually gets a true women's small right!! Now I'm going to have to step up and get the matching jacket. If you are a true small and petite woman have confidence that you found a product that actually sizes you correctly!

Pretty Color, Good Fit as per the Size Chart
I really like these, but I suggest that having the big thick seams inside the legs needs to be changed to seaming down the front and back. Have at it, seamstress engineers! The reason is, the super thick fabric seams make it difficult to stride without a lot of friction between the legs which is uncomfortable and cumbersome for any significant amount of walking. Part of the issue is fit for me: I purchased the exact size as indicated on the size chart. They fit very well, but I carry more weight in my thighs/calves, and the legs on these are just big enough. Consider this if you have thick thighs. I will need to wear leggings under these instead of jeans/thicker pants, so that is another consideration. I'm approx. 5' 7.5" tall and normally wear an XL, so the sizing is spot on, although these are a bit long. The straps have a great deal of adjustment length to them, so the top length is easy to custom fit. The plum color is spectacular. These appear to be very durable. I have not laundered them yet, so I don't know how much they will fade/shrink. I will need to dry them on the line since the legs have little "give" size-wise.

Warm and designed for women
Love these bibs. For decades I've made do with mens insulated bibs that were too short in the crotch and too long in the legs. These bibs are built for women that work outdoors year round. There's plenty of room to wear layers, they don't drag on the ground, climbing on ATVs, ladders etc isn't uncomfortable because the crotch is where it's supposed to be. The fabric is durable, insulation is thin but still warm and they were reasonably priced. I will admit I was apprehensive about purchasing but am so pleased I have called my daughters and all my lady friends to share this fabulous find.

They provide great movement and fit
Fit better than carhartts due to great material and the zipper in the bib provides ease of getting on and off! Lined bib provides warmth under a coat.

Soft. Comfy. Perfect fit.
Fits me perfectly XL for 5'9" with broad shoulders and ribcage.Fabric is soft (I do plan on waterproof spraying). Easy to move around in from low squats, to sitting on ground etc. Warm and padded that doesn't feel bulky. Just got them so not sure how durable they will be, but previous reviews indicated they were. Looking forward to working/playing outside more this winter!
