You need to use it with Water. We recommend submerging at-least 15-20 Mins prior to every use. Detailed instruction is available with eBook guide that comes along with the purchase.

How is is it supposed to be worked

Using this Premium Quality Whetstone you can put edge back on to very dull and damaged knives. We provide with a comprehensive eBook guide to help you make most of your product.

Is this all I need to get a razor edge on my pocket knife or do I need additional grits as well?

Yes. Grit 400 is to repair or put edge on very dull side & Grit 1000 will sharpen the edge. If you need extra fine polish pls check our high Grit 1000/6000 or 3000/8000 Stone.
