LOVE this item and its incredibly adorable! We have carpet, tile and hardwood in my house .Carpet- impressed with it being able to navigate slightlyTile- even with the grated texture of the tile Baby shark still gets around okay!Hardwood-baby shark dances fluidly and my toddler finds him quite entertainingYou can clap and tap baby sharks head to make him talk and dance, the clapping actually works advertised, there is also a bubble shaped button on his arm you can press to stop and start as well; we get a kick out of the clapping and tapping.LASTLY this is a sturdy toy! It does have some weight on it so be careful your little doesn't drop on your toes. On that note with all of the rough play and dropping baby shark had taken, he works just fine! We've had this product for a few months now and still have yet to replace the batteries!There are 3 modes on the bottom, make sure you take it off of "Try Me"
