I have used this twice so far and i find that this is a sturdy carrier. The clips hold well and i feel safe that my cake won't fall off. However, this won't really work as a storage to keep cakes fresh as this is not airtight. It does not close tightly around, quite loose in fact. Yesterday i transported my cake and with the hot weather, fondant was melting. Fondant was sticky and thick but was oozing out of the container. That proved me the gap around is not negligible. It was messy, it was dripping on my way home :( If i could return this, i would.

It's really excellent. The lock is actually tricky enough that you have time to consider if you Really Need Cake, which is great. The only thing that could possibly make it better is a little flap to let steam out, but tbh, unless you also have a cake hunting cat/dog, you're only putting cold cake in it anyway 🤣We found the cake slithered a bit in the back of the car, but we hadn't stuck it to the base or anything, and we literally just wanted it on the back seat so tbh, that was user error not a fault 🙈Would Def buy again.

This food transporter box is very sturdy and well made , when using the sectional compartment the box is totally sealed and airtight, on using the cake compartment this is not the case , there is a noticeable gap so cakes will not be airtight when kept in this box.It's a clever idea to be able to flip the base but the cake side of the base could have done with being as deep as the sectional side then it would be airtight, for me personally it's a small issue as cakes never last long in my household and I will probably use the sectional side for sandwiches more than the cake side , this box is still very good value for money and I definitely recommend it , I'm yet to transport anything but if I encounter any issues I'll update my review.

So disappointed it wasn’t tall enough to cover my standard two layer cake! Waste of money
