I like this item as it helps record some old memories(directly on PC) still lying in my Camcorder(VHS module).

Useless! Didn't work properly you need to keep inputting the product key. The recorded video all scrambled showing black screen even thought the video is working fine.

I had bought one of these in 2009 for about $20.00 with shipping and handling. I used it with a Windows XP computer. I seem to have misplaced that one so I bought another one for $9.99. Great price and my Windows Vista computer recognized it right off. That's after I spent the afternoon unable to get it to work in Windows 10. But apparently other people are having better luck than me with Windows 10.At any rate as long as it works on one of my computers I'm happy. And from the one minute trial video I took it seems to work very well.Also: It seem to automatically save the video as an MPG file (or other well known file format). So I'm assuming you can use the captured files with more user friendly video editing software once you have it captured. I haven't actually physically done it so I can't guarantee it but I can't see why it can't be done. (But I have been wrong before with things that seem obvious.)
