Wonderful! So happy I bought it! I followed the directions for seasoning exactly as written, and it's smooth as satin now, a beautiful addition to my kitchen. The lid fits tightly, and doubles as a great pan. It arrived in 2 days, in double packaging. Also received 10% off that order, and it arrived with an additional coupon for my next purchase... which I promptly lost when I discarded the packaging 🙄 lolI highly recommend this product! I picked this up at the same time as a Lodge set. I did some basic cooking with the factory seasoning in place just to see how it would do but found, though it was better than the factory Lodge seasoning, it did need some work. Like with the Lodge, I took the time to strip and re-season this set (time and patience) and once done, they are excellent.I have done stew, soup, etc. in the pot and it cooks wonderfully. I've done eggs, bacon, parsley friedn potatoes, etc in the skillet and after the re-seaon, it works wonderfully.I have also done home made bread and it works perfectly.The 'skillet' style handle is a nice addition to both the bot and the lid when you want something a little easier to hold on to as compared to the Lodge and that made the little bit more spend worth it. I find I use the lid from this set more as a skillet than I do the Lodge just for that fact.Quality is good and , like with the Lodge, as long as i treat the set and seasoning well, they should last a lifetime.

This is heavy cast iron like my Grandmother cooked with! You have to “season” it before cooking with it. It’s a bit time consuming but ensures your cast iron skillet and/or Dutch oven are only exposed to oils of your choice. Taking the time to season cast iron properly ensures you will have a lifetime of happy meals and easy clean up. Legend Cast Iron gets better with every use. It heats evenly, maintains the heat for a long time (perfect for potlucks) and goes from stove top to oven making it the perfect pot and pan for every kitchen.

The Legend cast iron set is a welcome addition to my existing cast iron collection. What I find most important is the weight..having arthritis sometimes the heavier pieces are impracticable, the new pieces will be more prudent to use.

From the packaging (superb) to use, this set is amazing. The lid is a great skillet as well. Just remember to heat the cast iron on medium until a drop of water sizzles BEFORE putting in any oil and then cooking. This pan is seasoned well and keeps on being non-stick with good care. Buy this set!
