This is great for aching knee joints and leg muscles. I'm over 70 yrs young with lots of aching joints and muscles and this stuff has worked for the pain when I over due exercise or work around the house.It is a bit greasy, but I wear compression stocking over the leg and knee area and it helps to keep the bed covers clean and also outer clothes.

I haven't had a chance to actually use it yet. I bought Amish Origins because many years ago I bought a small jar of Unker's ointment (white cover) at a Farmer's Market here in PA. I used that for almost everything cold and flu related and it worked great. I liked it so much I bought a new jar of Unker's (green cover) on Prime Day in 2019. When it came it did not smell as strong as the old jar of Unkers (white cover) I got several years ago (I still have a small amount left in that jar). I noticed the ingredient list was almost the same, but the amounts of each ingredient was less including the menthol in the new jar (7.15%) - smelling it did not make my eyes tear up like the old jar. I found Amish Origins brand online that has the same ingredients as my old jar of Unker's (white cover - menthol 7.54%) except there is more menthol in Amish Origins (7.66%) and the rest of the ingredients are higher percentages than the old jar of Unkers, yet the new jar of Amish Origins with more menthol is not as strong smelling as the old jar of Unker's (white cover) but it is a little stronger, than the new jar of Unker's (7.15% - green cover). I am glad I found Amish Origins. I have no doubt it will work just like the small jar I bought several years ago at the Farmer's Market which works wonders on many things especially cold and flu related illnesses. I bought a big jar so I could share it with others by putting some in very small jars. Only one jar uses the word "crystals" after the word menthol on it's label and that is the oldest small jar (7.54% menthol -white cover) of Unker's. Are menthol crystals stronger than just menthol? I am sorry this is hard to follow.

I have used the Amish Deep Penetrating Pain Relief Ointment on numerous occassions. I have purchased 4 or 5 jars of the original formula. The original formula was a white cream ointment which left no greasy residue on the skin and was completely absorbed.The new formula has the same pain relief qualities as the original. However, it does have a little greasy feeling left on the skin. I use the ointment on my knees, applying it before I go to bed in the evening. When I awaken the next morning, there is still a slight greasy feel left on the skin. For that reason, I prefer the original formula and thus the 4 star rating. It is still a very good product!

I have SLE that can bring on some horrible joint pain. For the lesser of the pains, like my hands, it works ok. For my knees, it adds a cool sensation on top of the teeth grinding joint pain.Honestly, it has the same effectiveness as icy hot and the other creams that do nothing for me.Only good for very mild pain.

I love this product. In August, bought a small jar sold in a general store in Georgia while on a road trip. Originally purchased for tmj pain. Worked great. Decided to order large jar for use of arthritis pain, congestion, and sore throats. Can't live without this! Helps so much. When coughing from colds or Gerd ( Gastrointestinal disorder), I put on bottom of feet then cover with socks. Coughing stops within minutes. Takes level 10 pain away by hips and lower back. I can't tell you how happy I am. Works better than Biofreeze, tiger balm, and icy hot... or any over the counter cvs bought cream. Forever a customer! Mary

I love love love this Ointment!!!I was giving a jar as a gift and when i quickly ran out i ordered my own. Oh there's so many good things to say about this product. 1. It does wonders for ppl with Sinus colds congestion...really the whole nine yards. I suffer with allergies stuffiness among other things and this ointment quickly opens me up where i can breath easier. Just think of Vicks Sad on steroids. Also i have DDisc problems and Sciactic Nerve as well. I jus rub it on and I'm good to go. I also put it on the edges my hair and my eyebrows and yes it grew my edges and my eybrows which is a plus....I also love the fact that it's not thick it just glides on. I'm very pleased to say the least. I will never be without this ointment!

...And it is an understatement. My husband is on statin, which causes him pain in his hips and joints, and he does not have a choice, but to be on it. I was browsing pain remedies on amazon, when I came across this product. I read the reviews, and decided to take a plunge. I got it for my hubby, and he swears by it. Every night, this product is the only one, that allows him to sleep. The pain to his hips and his joints have been unbearable. This product brings him so much relief. I bought a bigger jar, not too long ago, and I will always try to have it handy. If you are on the fence, do not hesitate to try this wonderful product.
