Its nice to have it right there where I can just pick it up and play. This stand is very sturdy and looks nice. It is made of steel with rubber foam over the lower arms and a rubber pad where it contacts the back of the guitar. For the price I was kinda surprized to find the quality was so good. I'm very please with the purchase and highly recommend this product for a nice looking and function guitar stand.

I reviewed a few stands before purchasing this one, as I never needed one before I got a guitar. So I really didn't know for sure what would be best. I took a chance on this one because of the sheer amount of people who had bought it. It's a very solidly built item, and it's worked out fine for me. The only concern I have is that there's no neck support and I'm always a little afraid of someone accidentally knocking it over. But I use it in my home, and pretty much keep it back and out of harms way. I like that it has a fairly small footprint and doesn't take up much space. If you look at the types that do have a neck support, there's a pretty big tripod it uses for stability. Maybe great for a stage with many people around, but a huge footprint in your home. Consider that. So, at least for me, this was the perfect choice (and you sure will be impressed, considering the affordability!) I'm very pleased with this stand.
