Good prevention and Lifesaver
Genuinely saved my 5.3 v8, drove through a heavy storm and some pretty intense "puddles" that were more akin to a small pond. Engine died after running running through a very large pond, probably 3 suburbans long. Got to a safe spot and found the pre-filter coated in water, took it off and car ran perfectly. If I hadn't had it on it would've been sucked straight through my filter. Will definitely recommend.

Works great and it keeps water and debris out. Only the really fine particles will get in which does any way with out the mesh. Extends your filters life.
