Lactobacillus bacteria thrive in a more acidic environment so therefore it will fix the bacterial imbalance. **Q: Does this product get rid of BV?** A: It depends. I got rid of mine only by using a combination of metronidazole and this product but my bv is due to hormonal imbalance. I always have some spotting, it's not really very noticeable and it took awhile to figure out. Since blood is present in vaginal area at all times, bacteria begins to grow. I use this product right after my period and it eliminates this problem. However, I used it every 3-4 days for the first 2 months.
