Workman C29X DEEP Heavy Duty CB Radio Mount Bracket for Cobra 29

I LOVE this mount! Purchased it with the Workman B2030 CB Radio Metal Swivel Adjustable mount and bolted this mount to the B2030. To get four bolts from the C29X onto the B2030 I drilled two additional 1/4" holes. Using four bolts was probably overkill, however, better safe than sorry. I then mounted it to my vehicle, first test fitted the CB, and away I went. It gives you so many mounting options that you cannot go wrong with this mount. I did use it for the Cobra 29 LX CB. It was a little wider than needed so I would imagine it would fit larger cases as well. After the day I mounted it I drove a 14+ hour shift and it never moved a bit. I paid attention to how many times I might bump into it with either my arm or my water jug etc. This was done because I knew when I got to the end of my trip I would want to adjust it. Considering how and when I would bump the CB I did make a few adjustments to the mounting points on the C29X mount. Then tightened things back up and was ready to go. No comparison between this mount and the factory supplied mount. Such an improvement. Would recommend one to anyone who has the room for the mount and who wants the best mount with the most mounting options. It is worth noting that you have two ways to mount the CB into the bracket. You can choose between the mounting holes on each side, of which there are five sets, or you can choose to mount in the "slot" and that would allow you to adjust to any height along the slot you could /would want. I first used the first holes at the top... Then after the trip I lowered it one set to the second set of holes from the top. I also replaced the mounting hardware from the Cobra CB. They are 5 mm fine thread. I purchased some 5 mm bolts and used the rubber washers supplies from Cobra between the mount and the CB. I feel better with bolts as opposed to the thumb screws. Since I did drill through the mount I will comment that it was easy to drill through with the right drill bit and having scribed my marks beforehand. Just take your time and you should only have to drill once. Again I only drilled each side so I could get two extra bolts with lock nuts and washers in the mount. Very satisfied with this product. Sturdy, adequate bracket, pretty hard to go wrong for $10. I wanted a bracket that was deep enough to tilt the face up when mounted on the floor and this fit the bill. The mount is about 1/2" too wide on both sides for my Uniden, but since I plan on upgrading the radio, I wanted to make sure the bracket would fit anything I bought (I simply added spacers on both sides for the Uniden).

I generally avoid "Workman" products, as all of my exposure to them has been very negative.This is an exception.Nearly perfect for my intended purpose of mounting a Cobra 29 LTD.The steel is thick, strong, and the paint job is decent. Initial quality is quite good.Versatile design features good depth for mounting at a variety of angles and a wide mounting surface.I'm currently using it upside down for a base station.One star taken off for value; though not expensive, the shipping costs included in the price make this an item that is not ideal for internet purchase.

It clearly states this is 8 inch wide the one they sent me is 7.5 inches wide it won’t fit so what are you going to do now… I get so tiered of this crap venders just putting items out there and they don’t have clue what it is what it’s for and how it works

Description stated 8” width.Received item with 7 1/2” width.

3/4 inch wider than my president Mackinley CB. Would need to buy some 3/8 spacers and extra length screw knobs.

This works perfectly for what I wanted. Very sturdy. I only wish they had a chrome option.

I used this in conjunction with CB / Ham Radio Heavy Metal Swivel Adjustable Floor Mount - Workman B2030. Works great in my F350. Just what I needed. Very sturdy metal.
