These take a few attempts to insert correctly. Now I can put them in easily and quickly. I don't use the tiny tool to help. They really work. I haven't had water in my ears in weeks. Sound is really diminished so people have to talk really loudly to me when I wear them. The small carrying case is nice, too.

In my opinion these are easily the best swimming earplugs going, simply because they aren't too darn long. I think I've had about a dozen pairs as I can't seem to keep track of the little things. But they're terrific, far more comfortable than most standard plugs, and they make me wonder why no other manufacturer seems to have a similar design.

Honestly, these are the smallest things on the planet so they are impossible to get out of your ear, you have to dig them out while you fear pushing them even deeper. Water gets in and you can hear/feel it when it happens. Their patented and unique 'alpineacousticfilters' are fully just a hole that goes straight through the thing, so the air tried to escape and go through and it just messes up the whole thing, and that's if it's big enough to actually suction to your ear canal.. I am still here hours later with painful, water filled ears lol. I have no eardrum one one side so let's hope it doesn't get infected and I'm even more screwed :) Save your $20 from this literal scam.

My hubby had a horrible ear infection from swimming and he tends to have a lot of trouble with his ears and water so I got these for him because he hated not being able to hear. You can have a conversation with them in if you're fairly close, much better than regular earplugs of course, but he mostly wanted to hear music and he said they didn't work as well for that. He also had trouble getting them to stay in his ears, but he did say he also has trouble with earbuds and things as well so I don't think that's the product's fault.We actually ordered Similasan Ear Relief Ear Drops about the same time just to see if it would give him some relief until we could get him to a doctor and it worked so well that he didn't even have to go! Now he uses it occasionally as well as a quick vinegar/alcohol rinse every time he swims, and he hasn't had any more trouble even not wearing any earplugs which he couldn't be happier about lol.

The main reason I purchased these is because I need to have them in my ears and they need to stop water from going into my ears at all when I’m in the pool. I have never had earplugs that worked resulting in continuous ear infections.But these work great!!! I’m so happy with them. Just make sure you follow the directions explicitly on putting them in your ears. And note that it’s not uncommon I would think to have a little trouble getting them out because they really suction tightly into your ears. But they do come out obviously. You won’t be sorry if you buy these.

I have small ear canals, I have to buy small earplugs. I am shocked that these are too small for me. I would consider these sizes for small children. They slide in my ear and go so deep I can't get a grip on the nub to pull them out, it's scary. I can sometimes get one of them to seem to work, but when I move my jaw I can the sound changes. That said, when it's blocking properly, it does allow conversation ok.I spend so much time fussing with these to get them to seat and block water that they're just not worth it. I wish there were a variety of sizes because I'd order a size up and probably be very happy with them.The case is stellar.

While these do keep a bit of water out, after swimming for more than 10 minutes or so, water gets through. Not as much as water would without them but enough to cause ear problems.
