It works as it's supposed to. But it's a lot bigger than I was expecting, so another big thing I have to figure out where to store. Also, a co-worker bought one for less that can do a lot more. That really irritated me. She couldn't have read my mind and told me this BEFORE I impulse bought it?I bought this for dog treats and as far as dehydrating cooked chicken, it works well. I also used it to dehydrate cilantro, which again worked well. So it works, but of course, like everything else these days, it's all plastic, probably made in China and it's just really really big. The seller was great though - arrived in good time, no issues with damage or anything. Just big. And plastic.

The plastic racks are a bit fragile. It wouldn't take much force to break the grate away from the frame but with a little care should be fine. We bought the silicone screens to go with it so nothing falls through and very easy to clean. I like that it is expandable to eight layers. A great unit for those new to dehydrating that won't break the bank and can grow with you as you learn and do more.

Now I know why people spend a bit more to get a higher powered dehydration system. This one does the job though it takes longer than the recipe book says to dehydrate with this machine. I would double the time in some cases.

Never buy it. Within two weeks the stabiliser burnt out and Amazon didn’t help with suppliers coordinates

I am *very* pleased with this dehydrator!It is trivially easy to use, easy to clean and runs super quiet. I have not noticed any significant spike in electricity costs, even when it is run all day.As someone new to dehydrating: I would highly recommend this.
