A great resource for any educator.
I have been reading, training, and absorbing as much Restorative and trauma-Informed practices as possible as my school looks to build an informed and purpose driven restorative program. This book brings together many of the strongest ideas and frames them in a way we can apply them to our program. Great job for making a complex subject easily understandable and easier to implement.

This is the one resource you need
This is my first review on Amazon and my first review before finishing the book. You may wonder why I am writing a review before finishing. I am a slower reading as I want to take it all in. I take notes, I re-read, and I share with colleagues along the way.Joe has done an amazing job compiling many books/theories that I have read throughtout my 20 year teaching career. I often had the thought---I've read that book and Joe has cited many of those in this book. This is a must have resource for any educator, regardless of experience. In the age of technology, pandemics, and students and families mental health, this is a must read. A MUST!I will have to edit this review when I finish!

Really Awesome book!!!! It helps me understand my own trauma.Understanding the trauma we all have in us and starting the Restorative practice in you first to be able to help others with there own trauma. I really recommend this book for those people that really want to change the way of education our youth and understanding we’re some of our youth stands before assuming they are bad kids. It helps by reading this book and meeting them were they are at.

I have bought multiple copies
This has become one of the books highlighted in some PDs. I ended up buying a second copy after lending out my first one so I could go back and dig deeper into our conversations. Worth the read!
