a healthier(steel) option compared to the plastic junk
I dont prefer plastic lunch boxes or water bottles hence i tried this one. I purchased this for my 5 yr old who will be going to kindergarten class in about a month. My only concern about this box prior to purchase was whether my child will be able to open this box on his own at the school. I asked him to try it opening and closing by himself and he looked very comfortable doing this. This was even when my child is in quite lower growth percentile for his age. I saw a lost of questions and answers around this, and i would like to say that this is a perfect lunch box for a kindergarten kid and every parent can go ahead without hesitation and buy it. A very good price for a healthier(steel) option compared to the plastic junk. A lot of people have questions about whether this product can hold any liquid, but no, thats not the purpose of this product. You can store any solid snacks/lunch in this one, I will give full marks to his product.

Wish it had rubber insulation all around, but otherwise perfect!
We got one like this from Pottery Barn about 6 months ago and loved it, but we only used about half of it. The 3-compartment pottery barn one is about twice as thick as the LunchBots one because it is actually two containers - with the second container resting inside the primary container (which consumes about half the space inside). This is pretty cool except when I take the top container off, all of the food from the bottom container is stuck to it - making it quite messy. Therefor, we only ever use the top container because it actually has the partitioned spaces like the LunchBots one.Perfect size. Love the rubber top. I only wish they offered a similar rubber case for the bottom part of the container as well for additional insulation. Construction of this box is good. And the internal partitions are tall enough so food shouldn't mix from compartment to compartment (except really runny stuff like soup).

The first container we got was defective, the lid was not snug and would fall off quite easily. I contacted LunchBots customer service and they responded very quickly. Even though their website says they don't respond to warranty issues over the weekend, the rep emailed me on Saturday to let me know they were sending out a new one.I received the new one a few days later, less than a week after ordering the defective one! It's got a perfectly snug lid, and fits a decent amount of food. I've used this one 3 times and the other one I purchased a few times. I loved them so much I ended up buying two more!

Unsure about the trio
As you can see from the pictures, there's gaps between the dividers. I'm not impressed with the quality. I suspect the container will be hard to clean. I expect a higher quality for the money. We have the lunchbots uno container. I'm happy with that one. That was my first choice when it came time to add to our collection. However, they were no longer available with the plastic dot cover which makes it much easier for little ones to open the container.

Portion dividers, Oh My!
Did these lunch boxes exist 30 years ago? If so, I have been missing out! I bought this along with the other items shown all from Amazon for my kiddo’s lunches (small insulated bottle and lunch bag). I absolutely love the compartments for packing a balanced meal for my kiddo along with fitting in an afternoon snack. The lid shuts tightly yet still easy for little ones to open. Cleaning has been a breeze for me because I use cupcake liners to hold the portions - once I used up the paper ones, I switched to reusable silicone ones because you know, Earth.

Sections aren't sealed off from one another
I like that this container is stainless steel but I don't like the fact that the compartments aren't sealed off from one another, so you can't put liquidy things in one compartment without it leaking through to the others. I didn't end up using this container at all.

Great box, but small
This is a nice container, but really small. I got it for my 6 year old and think I'll end up using it for my 3 year old, or snacks. For the last two years we've used the bento boxes from pottery barn kids and it's plastic, but much bigger.Pros:It's one piece plus a lidEasy to keep up with and cleanSmall enough to fit in his PBK lunchbox with a drink, piece of fruit and yogurt.Metal, so safe and bpa freeThink it's easy enough for my small kids to open independentlyConsToo small for a full meal for my 6 y/oI am trying the Bentego Kids green box next so I'll let you know how it compares.

Good product
Overall, a great product if you're looking to eliminate plastic use. While I would certainly not put liquid food in there such as applesauce or yogurt, I was able to put lasagna in the more narrow compartment and it did not spill or leak into the other portions of the box. Relatively easy to clean either in the dishwasher or by hand. My only caveat is that I would not necessarily recommend for younger children (under age 10) because the lid could be difficult for them to open.
