LOVE this grill, no more using the big gas grill outside!
I'm recently cooking for just one again, and I love grilled foods... but pulling out the huge gas grill just to make one steak, one hamburger, or one of anything just seemed to be too much for me. Plus, my hubby always changed out the big tanks for me, and since I lost him, I just don't feel comfortable doing that myself. So, I decided to try one of those new fangled indoor smokeless grills. And I decided on this one because #1. I have never been disappointed with a Hamilton Beach product and #2. I liked the idea of the searing grill! I am very happy that I did choose this one! It works WONDERFULLY!The first thing I tried was a nice boneless rib eye steak. I followed the direction to a T, tested the internal temp before removing it from the grill, and I had the most tender, perfectly cooked steak! My next "test" was a bone-in center cut pork chop, along with a zucchini, onion and sweet potato to go with. Here, I made a mistake by not reading the instructions perfectly before hand, and I started the chop before starting the veggies. So, by the time my chop was done, the veggies were still a bit too crisp and undercooked for my liking. But that was MY fault, not the grill's. Third time was the charm, same ingredients only this time I tried a boneless chop. I started the veggies a bit before the meat, with the setting on sear... then added the meat, started the meat timer (NOT included, just my own digital timer), turned down the heat when I turned the meat and veggies... and ended up with a DELISH dinner, with everything cooked to perfection! And to my surprise, every single time I cook a chop on this thing I get a PERFECTLY cooked chop, tender, moist, and cooked to perfection! Next up was a good ol' hamburger. This thing cooks a delish burger in the time it takes to heat up my large outdoor gas grill, and I end up with a burger that is cooked to the doneness I want, is juicy, tender, and I didn't have to pull out that huge grill! One night I decided I just wanted grilled veggies for dinner, so I settled on sweet potato, tomatoes, sweet onion and green peppers. I DID add some flour to the tomatoes, but just seasonings on the other veggies. And again, everything cooked to perfection, tasted wonderful, and this has become an often cooked meal at my house now. I honestly use this grill at LEAST 3 times a week now, and the only thing I've made that was excellent was one steak, that was cooked to perfection but was just a lousy tough mess, and it was the steak, not the grill! Now, one thing that's easy about an outside, gas grill is clean up. Turn up that baby to high for a few minutes, then run a brush over it, right? Or in my case, and stainless steal scrubber that doesn't shed bristles that can get caught in your food. ANYway, clean up with this grill is even easier than that! A quick rinse under hot water and 99% of the burned on crumblies just rinse away, and a quick wipe with a soapy sponge leaves me with a perfectly cleaned grill. The drip try slides out and is just as easy to clean. The lid slide off and again, just a quick wipe with a soap sponge and it's good to go!I mentioned my new grill to a neighbor, and showed them a pic of one of my completed meals (yes, I take pics of my cooking!) and next thing I knew, she was asking me how to clean it properly, she went and ordered one for herself. And just so everyone understands this, the grill comes out of the appliance easily, just lift it up, and the removable parts all ALL able to be submerged in soapy water! She was afraid of getting the two pronged "connectors" wet, but you don't have to worry about that, the only part that can't be submerged is the actual body of the grill, the part that has the cord attached to it!I have since posted about my new kitchen love affair on a diet site that I frequent, and so far, 3 of my online buddies have also purchased this fantastic grill. And every last one of them thanks me every time they use it, saying it's the easiest thing to clean, that it does such a great job of grilling all their different foods, and not one of them has had a single complaint about this searing grill! And I do have to admit, my food LOOKS prettier when it comes off this grill than when I would cook on the big gas grill, the colors are better, less burned/browned, less overcooked, less smoky looking. Hey food appearance can make a difference in taste, too!So, all in all, I simply LOVE my searing grill. It makes everything easy to cook, from burgers to links to steaks to shrimp to veggies and even to tomatoes! I couldn't be more pleased with my grill. OH and I forgot to mention, I have NEVER had to grease this baby, no quick sprays of oil, no rubbing it down before heating... nothing sticks to it, which is why it is so very easy to clean! SO my food is also lower in calories, especially my veggies which I would always spray with oil before putting on the grill! Now, I just sprinkle spices and cook! I give this appliance 2 thumbs up and wish I had a few more thumbs to give to it!

Broken product/replacement is GREAT
When I received it, either it had been opened and returned before or the packing machine for the grill messed up. I could hear rattling as soon as I picked it up. When I opened it you could tell one of the packaging styrofoam pieces was missing. The grill was in the box backwards, the plastic that is should have been in was actually shoved to the side of the box and one of the hinges to the lid had broken off (this, the rattling) and the lid on it was dented in several places. Of course I'm returning it immediately. I can't say anything for the product itself, but I think I just got a fluked packaged product. Once I get the replacement & try it out I'll update the review.Update: I received the new one in record time. Thoroughly convinced, after receiving the new one, that the previous one had been opened & returned. As far as the product itself, it is GREAT! ended up doing some hamburger patties and stuffed jalapenos on it. And I didn't burn them! (I end up charcoaling them on the outside grill 🤷) Kids really liked the way everything came out, too. I highly recommend.

Mighty little grill
Heats up quick and can grill burgers and short ribs! Super convenient to not need a full size grill. The cord is short so an extension cord may be needed. Although this grill is intended for indoors I only use it outdoors because it does get pretty smokey - which is a good thing in my eyes. Adds to the grill effect & its strength! I’ve had it for about a year now and it’s still going strong.

Nice little indoor grill
This is a nice little grill but what it's lacking is a cord long enough to plug into the wall and also an off switch. It does not turn off unless you unplug it from the wall which I find very strange. It should turn off at the dial on the grill. Anyway I am enjoying it and I will cook on it again tonight. I just think the company needs to look into these few things. One more is the grease drawer underneath is made of plastic and I'm not sure why they didn't make it of metal? Maybe the metal would heat up too much? I have no idea? Longer cord and a shut off on the dial. It would be nice if you could do a time shut off from the grill.

Easy to use and love the temperature control!
Love this grill! We didn't need a huge one since there is only the 2 of us - this is the perfect size. It does a couple of steaks, 2-4 hamburgers, 2-4 chicken breasts (1/2 breasts), and enough kabobs or hotdogs for the two of us. Clean us is easy - most parts can go into the dishwash with only the plastic tray and unit itself needing hand wash. I love the temperature control with the sear option. Only complaint is that the power cord is a little short and can get in the way of the lid if you're not careful.

Great indoor grill
Love this grill! I use it a few times a week, set it up on my gas stove on a pizza stone base, and the range hood on med to wick away the smoke..makes for some delicious lamb chops, blackened salmon, kabobs, and grilled veggies! Easy to clean up, and set up, I definitely recommend!
