Do your research FIRST (and PS - These are D width)
I spent a lot of time researching these boots before purchasing. It's a rabbit hole of information. Love the cult like following these boots have! First, I ordered a FULL SIZE DOWN and they fit perfectly. I am *always* a 13 and can't remember the last time I had a size 12 shoe. 12 fits PERFECT for me. When I first put the boot on, it felt super narrow in the arch area - esp to a guy who's used to wearing Adidas NMD sneakers. So, I did MORE research. You WANT them to feel tight like that - but not TOO tight. They WILL break in, so you have to consider that. You DONT want them too tight in the toes though! I also read a lot about how painful these are to break in. After just a few hours, honestly they feel comfortable to me with no pain points yet (knock on wood!). I'll come back to add on to this review after a couple weeks of wear. My point - DO YOUR HOMEWORK FIRST. You don't want to drop $300+ on a pair of door stops.

Absolutely worth the price.
Instead of going to the store I decided to use prime wardrobe to try on the iron ranger. I normally take an 11 wide or an 11 1/2 in almost everything. Found out that the 10d is my go to size in the ranger. With heavy socks they are snug, but not tight. And most importantly I have space for my toes. Wide toes, narrow heal, and a high arch is the issue I have. This is my entry into the world of real boots, so I have nothing to compare it to. Always been sneakers or hikers. Or the occasional cheap steel toe from Wally-world.I can tell the break in will take some time. Sadly I have watched many videos on these so I feel I know what to expect and how I want them to age. But so far I love them.
