Big hit for an 8 yo birthday gift! Even the adults thought it was very cool. My only concern was if it was new. The car was not attached to the packaging. The packaging was worn. And according to the box instructions I needed to add two batteries for full function of toy. When I went to add the batteries I found NO BATTERIES.

This is my second purchase of this item... Nothing wrong with the first one just that I was buying this for my nephew so he would have the same as my son since both are huge Mario Fans. The quality and design are superior, the hover mode is fun... Who wouldn't love it?It does go trough lots of batteries though, they should have made it with a rechargeable battery pack.

Thankfully I bought this as a gift for my own child because there was a battery inside the car that was leaking acid everywhere it was disgusting and smelled terrible. We were able to remove the batteries included and when replaced with fresh batteries it worked perfectly. I would be hesitant to gift this to anyone else given the battery issue and I seen some other reviews mention the same problem. I’d rather they just didn’t include any batteries because they were cheap anyway leaving them useless.
