Sidepockets hold a battery, lens cleaners and a phone power pack comfortably. If I wear a waist strap it sits nicely on it with the belt loop. I only wish the belt loop had a snap for ease of removal from the belt. It's nice and light. I thought the opening might be annoying with the flap closing when the camera is out but it has proved easy to drop it in and out of the case while birding.
