Because Deity gives me a black brown (my natural color) and not the ultra dark I prefer (black Revlon root touchup or blue black Bigen powder), I thought about using Deity only in-between conventional coloring. You could definitely do that, because this is not henna. Deity is trickier to work with than regular hair dye, but once you figure our what works for you, you will LOVE it. Before, I was massaging for 10 minutes (a long time!) and then rinsing. That method left stray grays in my part uncolored. Now, after wetting my hair, I massage it for 5 minutes making sure I every hair on my scalp is coated--especially the roots--leave it alone for 5 minutes (no massaging) and then rinse. What used to take me an hour+ now takes me 20 minutes. Because it's so convenient and I no longer worry about things like coal tar, I use Deity about every 3 weeks. I could alternate Deity with regular hair dye, but my hair seems healthier now, so I see no reason to go back. **Q: Anyone knows the ingredients for this product? It's not displayed on the packet.** A: I bought this product because I was allergic to the chemical hair dye,unfortunately I had the same results from this product, so if you are buying it assuming it's Chemical free.....I don't think so.Ć°ĀŸĀ™Ā **Q: Why is the system not allowing me to order a different color. the dark brown does not work for me and iā€™d like to order the black!!!** A: I had that problem also, with not being able to order the black. It kept choosing dark brown. So I stopped ordering it. **Q: Can open package be reused?** A: Don't know, I've never tried to use unused portion. But I guess you could if you preserved unused portion with a tight seal.
