BRILLIANT EXTREMELY IN DEPTH BOOK ON ITALIAN GRAMMER , VERBS ETC.
Brilliant though somewhat overwhelming book due to amount of information contained. If you are studying Italian in a class this is quite an essential book - the Verb Tables are second to none, and if you are at advanced Beginner Level and beyond you will really appreciate this book. There is an awful lot to sink your teeth into and gives practical examples on use based on the context the words are being used. Italian is a somewhat completed language with many words having several meanings and a different verb word for plural, singular, me, you they etc.If studying on your own it will be hard not to get overwhelmed by this book and the amount to learn. If studing in a class, I strongly advise only look at the information in context of that weeks study work and take your time to understand it all. My cousin-in-law is Italian and I have been advised that it can easily take 2 years minimum to really grasp the nuances of Italian. I see what they mean.I am using it as a companion to my class studies and find it valuable.

A must have companion to classroom learning
I have found this book so helpful to my progress learning Italian. I don't believe there is a better form of learning than the teacher/student format. It is very easy to be overwhelmed and discouraged because of the complexities of the language. I found the verb list verb table very handy and also the vocabulary list for quick reference when I feel I've forgotten everything. It's been a very long time since I was in school so the glossary at the beginning was invaluable to refresh what articles, nouns, pronouns, adverbs, etc. are. If you want to learn I strongly recommend having a teacher either in a classroom setting or online/one-to-one and all the supplementary material you can get your hands on.

Pretty good
Bought it for my British boyfriend, seems really great! The only thing is that in the Verbs session there’s no english translation so unless you search on a vocabulary you have no clue what that verb would be in English. Apart from that very complete book.

Information and examples
I was disappointed with the paper quality and the font was pale. It isn't the most comfortable grammar book to read. I am only on the grammar section at the moment but I think that there aren't enough examples. It's possibly OK for an absolute beginner but I'm looking for another grammar book. It's never easy to find the right grammar book. However, I am pretty critical and not the easiest person to please, but I am 71 years old!

Great book to support on line learning
A useful book to support learning. In my experience it needs to be used to support other learning - I'm using Duolingo and subscribing to Italy Made Easy both of which are brilliant. I certainly wouldn't be happy purely with on line teaching, a good grammar book, a dictionary and a verb book are great companions. This is certainly one of the best out there
