Installing on (possibly) very old grill
Not certain how old my grill is (it had been at my parents home), but apparently there is a very wide variety of Weber charcoal grills out there. In any case, mine had the old wood handle, and the top half had completely deteriorated and fallen off. The significance difference that made the replacement handle not a good match for my grill was that the wooden handle had been held in place by two rivets. So, to replace the wooden handle, it was necessary to first cut off the rivets which affixed the wooden handle to the u-shaped steel thingy. Then I had to drill a hole in the center of the steel piece. Once that was done, attaching the new handle was a simple task accomplished with a screwdriver.Maybe I should have done more research, but I saw no other replacement handle that appeared to work with my grill. In any case, it was a bit more work than I had expected, but I am happy with the final result.

Good product -Will not fit grills made after 2014 -
Good product -Will not fit grills made after 2014 - If you have two holes in your lid - It will not work without the lower attachment part which is not provided - You need an 80672.

Nice upgrade.
Excellent replacement for wood. My 20-year old Weber is still “cooking” <grin>

Perfect Fit
Weber’s last forever and cook perfectly, but sometimes the little things like handles need to be replaced, and these are perfect. Grab a screwdriver and 5 min later the BBQ handles are updated and ready to go!

Product as expected, Customer service beyond expectations
Handle is exactly what I needed to breathe a little new life into an older Weber I'm refurbishing for my nephew. I can't say enough about the customer service from Ed Young's Hardware. Fast delivery and quick resolution of minor issue. Cheryl definitely knows the meaning customer service and has further assured for her company that I WILL be a returning customer.
