Paul Strand in Mexico

This book is HUGE and beautifully printed. I ordered this book after seeing a Paul Strand in Mexico exhibit in Chattanooga at the Hunter Museum and falling in love with his work.It contains the iconic photographs of his work in Mexico, which are hauntingly beautiful. Lots of information as well. Many of the photos are a full page.

Stunningly beautiful -- and HUGE (and heavy). What more can I say? Beautiful reproductions and interesting text in a very oversized coffee table book. I love Paul Strand's black and white photos -- and I think you can see how he and Tina Modotti really had a great relationship in terms of their photos. A tremendously great gift for a fan of black and white photography, or Mexico mid-20th century. Very moving images!

This book is so perfect. I am a Mexico enthusiast and huge fan of Strand! The book came in wonderful condition. Awesome!

beautifully produced not only with the great photos --hitherto available only in expensive portfolios--- that Strand took but with documents of the period, posters, etc. Nice to have the Redes DVD with subtitles. Previously only Spanish language ones without titles have been available from Mexico. A marvelous book.
