Don't buy in black!!!
I own a couple pairs of these pants. This pair I just ordered I did not realize that it was identical to 2 pairs I'd purchased over a year ago. My cautionary note to anyone thinking of buying them is if you are buying them in black (It's the only color I've purchased these particular pants in. I do not know about a problem with any of the other colors.) . These pants are not even almost a true black. Hold them next to all other blacks in your closet. At best these pants are a very dark gray. And the minute you want to pair them with a black top you will have a very tacky-looking ensemble. After you wash and wear them over several months they turn into a very funky gray. Doesn't matter if you wash in cold or warm water, I've tried both ways with 2 different pairs. They also pill very badly after a few washes. After a few months you will relegate them to your dirty work clothes pile (ie clothes you'll only wear around the house while cleaning, yard work etc.) Nothing you'd put on if going in public, unless you just don't care about your appearance. If you don't wear all-black, you'll be ok with these pants, for the first few months or even less. Then the pilling and the color get so bad you'll never wear them for any occasion where you want to look presentable. The fit is perfect, the fabric is soft initially. They shrink a lot, so you must factor that in when you decide on a size. The fabric only says soft for a minute. After the pilling begins the fabric begins to roughen up, and gets rougher with time. The fabric is very substandard for it to respond this way to normal wear. At $8.50 per pair with Amazon Prime the price is great for a casual pair of pants. The price and fit (till they shrink) are the only good things I can say about them. I'm jus sayin....

Well Made Knit Pants
These pants are nicely made and they fit reasonably well -- I am overweight and aging, so my figure is no longer one for which pattern makers design. With a tunic length top, these are just right. The fabric is very soft and launders well. The pants will shrink a little in length I find, but using a cold water wash and a medium dryer setting will slow that process down. They are comfortable and look nice for "business casual" wear. I have three pair and will very likely buy more in the future.

Prone to shrink and not colorfast
Some lessons need to be learned over and over. I had purchased some of these pants years ago. I now use them only for painting and working around the house because they have badly shrunk and faded. In fact, they have shrunk so badly over time that I now refer to them as "capris" or even "pedal-pushers." So, it was time to buy some new knit pants. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that these were from the same company that had made the ones with which I was so unhappy until it was too late.First, the good news. These pants have a wonderful, soft hand and are very comfortable. They were a tad looser than I had expected. But given my experience with the previous pair as well as with clothes from this company in general, I expected them to shrink a little. I had forgotten that I had purchased these in a "Tall" size, but ended up being very glad that I had (see below). So, I hemmed the pants and went about my business with a smile. I waited to review them, however, until I had washed them. Glad I waited. Now for the bad news: The first time I washed them, the pants bled so badly that I had to wash the rest of the load twice more - once with a white reviver and the second time with a color booster. Everything still came out gray (the pants were black). So, I didn't dry them after the last wash cycle (so I didn't set the color) and went to the store the next day and purchased a package of Carbona Color Run Remover. The dye came out after soaking the clothes for a while. My favorite white blouse was white once again. My gray and white flannel shirt, however, was now olive green and white and my dish towels, well, let's just say that it was time to buy some new ones anyway. I put everything through another wash cycle with a couple of Shout Dye Catcher sheets. With the exception of the above color changes, the clothes were again clean but the dye catcher sheets were a very dark gray. (How much dye was in those pants, anyway?)The other problem was that - no surprise - the pants had shrunk. Their new length was a good 1.5" shorter than it had been before (although the width is pretty much the same as before washing). Fortunately, I have plenty of hem fabric at the bottom so I can take down the hem and re-hem the pants. But, what a bother!I still like the way the pants fit and feel, so I didn't give them one star. However, in the future, I shall either wash them separately (which is a waste of time and money if I don't have enough dark colors for a load) or at least put in a dye catcher.

A Nice Pull-On Pant for Mom
My mom, who is 80+ years old, but still likes to dress nicely, loved these! She is 4'10", apple shaped, and the petite length worked well wearing flat footwear. The fabric is a nice quality. I washed them in cold water to avoid shrinkage. Please note; I am not saying these are pants for older ladies only. These are a fashionable, comfortable alternative to the typical "older lady" pants, and would look nice on any age woman looking for a pull on (elastic waistband) quality pant.

I really like these pants
I really like these pants. They are soft, the material is a medium weight and breathes well in our wicked summer humidity, they fit as expected and stay put without binding or the waistband pinching or rolling, and they do not cling or stretch out of shape after sitting. They do run a bit short, however. I am 5'7", and they hit me right above the ankle, but for summer that's ok. I will probably order the Tall size for winter to fit over boots. Love the pockets! They easily hold a phone or car keys for quick runs to the store, and they don't gape too much out the sides. They look nice enough for dinner or casual outings, and are also comfortable enough for all day errand running. I will buy these again.

Excellent - soft and comfortable.
I really like these - they are so soft and comfortable. I order my usual size (3x petite). They are slightly large and a tad long but not so much that I'd return them. I liked these so much that I not only order black then went on to order both dark blue and gray. They are perfect for a regular day or with a dressier top to wear to Mass or out to dinner. Extremely pleased with these.
