Every Christian Should Read Sanders' Spiritual Trilogy
I am disappointed that nobody introduced me to J. Oswald Sanders sooner in my Christian life. His trilogy of books (Spiritual Leadership, Spiritual Discipleship, and Spiritual Maturity) are challenging, compelling, and convincing. They have the propensity to cause Christian readers to confront their own lives on the basis of God's Word.Spiritual Maturity is certainly the lesser known of the three books and I confess it doesn't seem to measure up to the quality of the other two books. His clarity is less precise making readers work harder in understanding the points being presented. This lack of clarity also creates confusion in some theological areas. While at times he gives more acceptance to certain theological areas than I would, he does so with a humble and biblical heart and cannot be faulted too much for that. However, the lack of clarity causes issues at times, for example in chapter four, in which Sanders makes it seem as though God changes based on how people are (specifically, he says that God changes how he deals with people based on their needs). He's not wrong, however, a greater explanation of how God's character traits interact with one another would have been helpful in this area. With that said, while I think this book is not quite at the caliber of the other books it is still a noteworthy and respectable book. J. Oswald Sanders has divided the book into 21 chapters and three parts. Each part deals with a specific person of the Godhead and his influence within the spiritually mature life. Therefore, the book is helpful and useful in the lives of believers.Disclaimer: I received a hardcopy of this book from the publisher at no cost to me for the purposes of review. However, my review was not influenced in any way and is the response of my own reading of the book.

Enriching Study on Maturity
Sanders in this book, as in his other works, has the ability to exposite passages and elucidate life changing principles in a practical and challenging way. This book goes through the three members of the Trinity and focuses on their personages and particular ministries to the Christian, especially as it pertains to growing in spiritual maturity. This book does not follow the general pattern of disciplines of spiritual maturity per se (i.e. recommending prayer, Bible reading, worship, service, church, etc.), but instead challenges the Christian by presenting biblical truth and wisdom for life as it follows the ministries of the members of the Godhead.I would say this book is the least structured book by this author that I have read (the other two being Spiritual Leadership, and Spiritual Discipleship), as the sections are longer and sometimes more general. But as with Sanders' other books, this one is a treasure trove of wisdom, spiritual insights, and challenging truths.I highly recommend this book to every Christian who likes this same author or who is looking for and edifying book that will challenge and grow them spiritually.

This book will guide you into deeper beliefs
An excellent book for someone who wants to dive deeper into their faith. I found the book challenged the depth of my beliefs. As it says in the Forethought "This is not light reading - it is Light reading." You could take any one of the major sections - God, Christ, and Spirit and dive into those chapters to further develop your beliefs. There are more than adequate bible references to help you further. I strongly recommend this book for those practicing Christians who feel they need additional guidance.

Another great one by Sanders
I think that every follower of Jesus Christ should read this book. Sanders has many insights into understanding God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This is well worth the money and the time. I have passed it on to others, as it has become on of my favorites.

Spiritual Maturity
I am a child of the most high God. Children grow. I have not been able to read this book yet. However, Oswald Sanders is a very good author. My Pastor's use his books as a basis for their sermons. I want to use this book to develop an intentional, thoughtful plan to grow spiritually.

If God be for us who can be against us? Romans 8-31
This book is rubber band, to my bible. This is the work of the triune God ,as One Almighty God, working all good to them that love and serve Him. The cross stands for shame and we have picked it up by God's choice alone. The undiscouraged perseverance of God .We cannot fail because He will never fail us.
