A Sure Thing (for Gerber and Surefire)
I am a deployed soldier and everyday I use my Gerber to fix my weapon or radios or some other equipment. I recently purchased a flashlight. I decided that six months of heavy use had really worn out the sheath that came with my Gerber. A double pocket sheath was what I needed. I was concerned about my light and Gerber both fitting in. The Maxpedition had the largest I could find without getting a rifle magazine pouch; that wouldn't have been a good idea. The Maxpedition Double Sheath is perfect for me. My Gerber measures at just about 5 inches and my Surefire Fury measures in at just over 5 1/2 inches. I was worried that the light would just barely fit. It fits fine. The sheath has adjustable straps that can be adjusted to accept larger items, up to probably 7+ inches. It is not easy to adjust the straps but it is certainly a good feature if you need to.This is a very capable and durable sheath. It can be carried vertically or horizontally on a belt. It also is MOLLE capable. The Army issues some great gear and this is something they should look into. The construction is far superior to the pouches we are issued. I really appreciate the elastic on the sheath to keep the items secured even of the flaps are open while I am working. I am still evaluating this but so far I don't see any reason why I should have gone with another product. It has a good price point, has a good price point and can be configured to your needs. I will certainly buy more Maxpedition products in the future.

I love Maxpedition
This one is a bit of a miss.I love that Maxpedition tries things and offers a lot of options in their product line. This pouch can be worn horizontal or vertical on a belt, and is MOLLE/PALs compatbile. The issue is that the location of the velcro on the straps is in just the wrong spot to fit on wider belts..I had it set up as a multi-tool/light pouch and it wouldn't slide easily on to my belt because of the velcro.I switched it to a horizontal setup for pistol mags.

A Max position fan
I am a huge fan and collector of expedition products. I have never been disappointed. I would highly recommend the expedition line to every person looking for bags back pack pouches. I know they are a little more expensive than others but well worth it. I have items that are more than 8 years old that still look new and are extremely serviceable.

This is a mag holder.
If you’re looking for a 1911 mag pouch, this is an option if you like medium strength velcro. For knives and multi tools, the pockets are a little too deep so you have to go fishing for them. The pockets are also not box shaped, they get skinnier towards the bottom. Just keep that in mind when you consider purchasing this. There is elastic in the center for tension, which is nice. Size, it’s wider than it needs to be. It’s a giant rectangle that is stiff with unforgiving corners that will poke you and get caught on whatever. For the price, you might wish you had spent a little more for a mag pouch that had a better system for attaching to your belt. The whole thing is made with the same material. Positives: It looks cool from a distance.

Best Maxpedition Sheath
As far as I'm concerned, this is the best sheath Maxpedition has to offer. Like most Maxpedition products, it is superior quality all around. The velcro is VERY strong, the material is very durable, and the velcro is long enough to hold fairly large items. The straps on the back are also very strong, and work better than the TacTile attachments offered separately. I attached this sheath to the back of a pack, and it feels like its built in! I have Gerber 22-41545 Black Diesel Multi-Plier with Sheath and Nebo Redline Tactical Flashlight Strobe S.O.S 220 Lumen #5581 in it currently, and there is room for a slightly larger multi-tool and flashlight if I choose to do so. They of course would hold my .40 high capacity 14 round magazines if need be. I would recommend this to anybody and everybody!

I have this attached to a 5. 11 "tactical" ...
I have this attached to a 5.11 "tactical" messenger bag. It has a fairly substantial lock-back knife and a two AA cell LED flashlight in it. The knife is a bit of a tight fit - it's the same size as the grip of a full sized 1911 pistol (the scales are 1911 grip panels). So far, in the brutal tactical environment of 9-5 office, it's held up quite well. I can't say how it would perform in, say, Afghanistan or Iraq, but banging around a carpeted floor, sliding around in the trunk of a Lexus and sitting overnight in a La-Z-Boy, it has performed admirably.

Tough Stuff!
Perfect as a belt accessory or on a molle pack (or both). I spend a lot of time in the woods and own a lot of Maxpedition gear because of its extreme durability. This double sheath will hold a large folding knife, multi-tool and/or a large pistol magazine. I have a Zero Tolerance 0350 folder in one and a .45 Glock mag in the other. The fit is perfect and the flap very secure because of the high-speed velcro Maxpedition uses. Even when loaded up there is no sagging on the belt because the sheath is built like a tank. I haven't found anything better than this sheath for its purpose, I highly recommend it.

Quality
This thing is pretty awesome. I wear it on my belt to hold my Fenix LD12 & my Leatherman super tool 300. Both tools fit snugly in the pouches and the velcro closure is very secure. I only wish it came in a triple version, so I could stick my Kershaw folder knife in a pouch as well, I guess I could get a single pouch to go with this, but would be awesome to have a single unit, triple pouch.
