1/18 Latrax Rally direct fit
Perfectly fits a Latrax Rally without modification, but you will need two different screws, I reused some M2 hex screws that I had laying around for my 1/16 Revo. It doesn't feel much faster than the stock motor, though this could be because it has a terrible time getting traction with stock tires, however it doesn't get too hot running 2S lipo batteries and I haven't broken anything with it yet, so A+! Pros: Direct fit for Latrax 1/18 scale cars Good power Hasn't broken stock components yet Fits stock pinion gear Doesn't overheat Lipo cutoff(not tested) Itty bitty tiny little ESC Cons: Engrish instructions Stock motor screws aren't the correct size or thread pitch(Meh) Nothing anywhere on this says "GoolRC", it looks like a cheap generic set(well....it kind of is.) No programming card, and it doesn't seem like you can program it with anything but one. ESC looks cheesy as a block of cheddar that's sitting on a block of Swiss, seriously, it's a circuit board with a heat sink glued onto it, it does work though. ESC and motor wires are not insulated with Silicon Overall, it's cheap, it works, it does what I ask of it and it takes Lipo's I had to seriously nitpick for the cons, the only one that truly bothers me is no built in programming method and nothing states what programming card it needs if I ever want to change something around.

Great Combo for 1/18th scale
Great combo for 1/18th scale vehicles. I used it in a Latrax SST, which is a 4x4 1/18th scale truck, and it seems powerful enough for this purpose. I did need some M2.5 screws for mounting, but was otherwise a direct replacement for the stock motor. The ESC exceeds my expectations for this price point. It's very difficult to make this system cog (provided it's geared correctly). Neither the ESC or motor got excessively hot, especially when compared with the stock brushed system it was replacing. I'm not sure how others are burning this system up. Larger vehicles, excessive gearing, drivetrain drag, and running in grass are all variables which could push the limits of this motor, but when used within reason, it seems to be a great reliable system.

Works great in Latrax Teton
I bought two of these for my two little Tetons. So far its working very well. As other have noted, including the mounting screws would be a very nice touch, but I managed to find equivalents in my scrap bin. Running with the stock 9T pinion is a little crazy on wheelspin and the top speed isn't very interesting. Switching to a 14T pinion is much better. More controllable and nice top speed. Probably could even move up to a 16T. Thus far I have had no problems with heat while bashing them pretty hard. Started breaking the stock axles due to the extra torque. For a basic and affordable upgrade, I love it. Noticeably better performance than stock and no more burned motors on 2S lipo. (2S 1800 mAH lipos give me around an hour runtime each.) Would have preferred more tuning options (get the tuning card, it is needed).

Good while it lasted
Installed on my son's LaTrax. And a issue with the first one, so swapped it out in a return (went very smooth and fast). Installed new one and ran good for the 3 times I got to run it. The input shaft on the motor broke and now I have to purchase a new setup.

pinion was a pain
I put this on a Redcat 1/16 scale volcano. The mount screws are two different sizes. Found the right size in my Heli spare parts, but the 2mm shaft size was a pain to find the right pinion, had to buy an adapter sleeve for 1/8th pinion. Also the 48 pitch for the redcat was a .6 Mod Metric. Such info should be noted on the purchase page. But an awesome little motor it doubled the speed of this Truck.

Redcat Volcano 18
Seems to be a decent combo for the $$. Converted a Redcat Volcano 18 from brushed. Motor is 4mm longer than the original motor. Used the Redcat metal pinion gear. Not the 1 recommend in this add. 2s LiPo. This conversion in the Volcano also requires metal driveline parts and a new radio/receiver. The original steering servo works great. The suggested programming card does not work. The LED’s light up and the blue Work Status lights just flashes. This ECS doesn’t have a set/reset button on it. It has a set of jumpers that appears to be for breaking force only? I need to program the ESC! The truck flips over from any speed when giving it full throttle!! The instructions that come with the ESC are useless..

Best latrax replacement for the $$$$
Great replacement for the latrax line of cars. My daughter has been running it for several months and it’s holding up fantastically. Get the program card you’ll definitely need it to adjust the cars performance. I have just as much fun with her pre runner as I do with my Rustler now. This combo with the optional pinion and spur latrax recomends is a blast. This also allowed me to progress her through the different settings until she was ready for full on action without hitting everything in sight. The motor screws right into the stock plate. You just turn it’s position until it lines up and drop it in just like the stock one. That simple. I read reviews saying it didn’t work or the screws were a problem but that was not my experience at all. Best part no over heating on 2 or 3s battery just make sure it’s a 25c battery. If using latrax/traxxas batteries Like myself you’ll need the Plug converter I believe it’s called Tamia plug found on here and only a few bucks. Double sided tape is strongly recommended for the ESC to be held down properly after removing original. On a scale of 1-10 install difficulty for this project would be about a 3.5

It’s a beast for $40 combo
I bought this to replace the La Trax Teton motor and ESC. It was a very easy and fun task. I didn’t need to do any modifications. It fit perfectly. Later after I ran it on a 2s lipo, it thrashed the plastic stock gears. Lol. I kinda figured it was going to. I don’t know what speeds I’m getting but it’s fast! Really fast. Doesn’t get hot. The cheap ESC does a great job. I would absolutely buy this for smaller rc motors. Again and again. I’ll try to upload some photos later.

First of all, the esc: pros: eletronic brake variable speed can handle 2s lipo no need to solder anything cons: not waterproof the switch is big for no apparent reason I bought this for my rc18mtx, it had a 370 motor before its the same size and the holes to fix it. it has a standard t batterie plug would be nice to fit an adaptater from t plug to female jst but that would be a bit more expensive. Before buying it be aware that cogging is a minor issue we will see with time but mine cog at extremely low speed and goes to about 30 kmh to 40 kmh. If your looking for a cheap brushless motor/esc combo then you found the right one one think i could say is buy a heat sink made for a 370 motor because after running it for about 30min of hard bashing it became really hot it wont affect performance but you will add longevity to the life of the motor.

Definitely a great upgrade for the Latrax Teton. No need to further mod the rc for it to fit, and makes it go way faster than the stock motor/esc. The only negative thing is that it's definitely less responsive than the stock brushed set-up.

Perfect upgrade for latrax teton and prerunner! I can now run over 1h30 with a single 2200mah lipo and it performs really well! Only thing you should do is put a few tiny drop of glue arround the rear cap cause it might come loose at some times. Other than that its superb!!

Product does not work. Stutters way too much be useful.

I put this in my Latrax Prerunner, pro's are it drops right in, cons are, it cogs, its not predictable, there seems to be a delay between the trigger pull and the truck actually putting power out, all in all if you want to go fast its okay, if you want a predictable truck that responds well to input this is NOT it
