Makes a nice small puncture hole in the insulation. Works well with small gauge wire. Just be sure and seal the hole in the insulation when done. Liquid electrical tape can be used to help keep the moister out. Idea for automotive electrical trouble shooting.

Been using them for awile know and haven't had any problems with them.

The cost is significantly lessthan other probes that have the twist to pierce feature. Once connection is made the probe stays connected. 4mm standard size. Would buy again.

The clips don’t fit very securely on the lead, I need up taping my ground clamp to the lead so that it was useful. Also broke both of the sharp leads the first day at the same weak point so that’s not great. Nice long cables though.

I used these with a recording voltmeter to verify that the auto-defrost circuit on my fridge was working.

So I ordered these and they came in. One was not quite right, and customer service was awesome. They corrected the issue for me immediately. Great product and great customer service! Worked as expected, but slightly smaller than expected wire size. Would be 5 star if it would handle slightly larger wire.Used it to fix a problem under the dash of an RV. The wire in question was a #12 with thick insulation. Had to struggle to get the probe around the wire. Was concerned I'd break it shoving the wire in. Once done, it worked as expected and helped fix the problem.
