Excellent Pencil: Style, Color System, Ease of Use=Happy & Satisfied
I LOVE these! I mostly use 2mm pencils for sketching and drawing. I saw these at 3 mm and thought they looked very nice. I think the color referenced showing the light to dark of the pencil lead weight on the paper is ingenious! I wish other mfgs would come up with this idea. I’ve been using these since I received them on delivery. I cannot convey how nice they work! They are “clickable” style, the lead comes with special sharpeners for the tips, they clean up ez, they fit perfectly in my hand as I’m sketching/drawing. Everything is great about them. I do wish the pencil sharpener had a resiviour to capture the shaving powder from the lead as they’re being sharpened - but, come on, that’s such a minor thing. The quality it very good for the price & unique style. As an architect and artist, they are versitile for both art & drawing old style floor plans or schematic/conceptual style drawings for the client. I carry them in one of my smallest roller canvas pencil holders & they fit perfectly. I wish I had had these many years ago. But I have them now & use them all the time! If you are weighing the whole 2mm to 3 mm issue, there is no difference when you are working with them. If you are undecided about these versus another style, get these. The quality & use are exceptional! I wang to buy more! (If my boss lady would let me - wife - one day I will. I can’t go without having extra of my pencils for those “just in case” moments. This price? Come on, what deal! I was fortunate to have found them during a special sale thru Amazon. But even without a sale price, the reg price is nothing to complain about. Just get them, you won’t be disappointed!

Nice Pencils, but Not Sure About the Lead Grading
I really do like these pencils. They're comfortable, and the extremely thick lead means that you don't lose much, if any to breakage. The lead quality seems nice, but I'm not sure that the correct leads are in the right pencils on shipping. 8B seems much lighter than 4B, which is darker than 6B. I'm not sure if it's just a consistency issue or if the wrong leads were put into the wrong pencils or what. Either way, I do really like the pencils and they're very convenient and nice to work with.Update: Having used these pencils a little more, I have to say that I'm growing more fond of them. They're good pencils. I'm still a little questionable of the lead grading, but they really draw VERY nicely. They're just so smooth and nice to draw with. I'll definitely buy them again.

Really nice
These pencils are great, they shade my artwork beautifully. What I like best is to be able to determine the softness of the lead by the outer color. With my other regular pencils, I would have to look at the writing on the side and usually the lead would be broken or the one I am looking for is stubby so I can’t find it. All is solved with these, when I am done, I hide the point inside. The included sharpener puts a sharp point on them and, they are refillable so little or no waste. They feel comfortable in my hand and so far has performed beautifully. I’m ready to get some for my artsy friends because I know they will love them.

Sorry I paid attention to the Positive reviews
I have never given so low a review. Out of the box, the pencil marked 2B was in pieces. The back mechanism popped out when lifting up. (It is a clear plastic tube with a plastic cap. There was no way to put it back together, no screw function or anything. While any of the other pencils could hold the 2B lead, that defeats the purpose of having each pencil with its own markings. In order to sharpen any of the leads in the pencils, you must disengage and pull the lead out approximately an inch. Then when it is sharpened, in order for it not to break, you must push the lead back into the housing.Therein lies the biggest problem. These are plastic. One was broken out of the box. It is not easy getting the lead back up the pencil. In order to do so, you must activate the mechanism which is touchy and feels like it might give way at any moment. The HB pencil was the worst, it did not break, but it required forcing and I do not hold out hopes that it will last long. The idea is a nice one, but the functionality does not live up to the promise. This is one instance where the saying "you get what you pay for" rings true. Lots of pencils are plastic on the outside, but the working parts are usually metal. This does not appear true in this case. When the one pencil fell apart. Except for a metal spring, everything I could see was plastic. If you seldom used the pencils, maybe? But, I draw at least four pieces every day.
