A friend of mine visiting from China recently got me a stand for my iPad as a gift and I liked the idea so much that I decided to get a second one from Amazon to keep in another area of my home so that I didn’t have to move my friend’s gift around. I like the Lamicall stand more than the one that my friend got me for a number of reasons. One, it feels sturdier even though it is made exclusively of plastic. Two, the two little “hands” that hold my iPad are bigger snd stick out more so I can rest my iPad in its protective case more securely and without the risk of it sliding off. I had to put two small paper clips on the “hands” of the one that my friend got me because they were smaller and more shallow and could not hold my iPad securely while it was in its protective case. Every time I changed the angle of the stand, the iPad would slide off otherwise. I also like the fact that I can change the height of the Lamicall stand something that I can’t do with the one that my friend got me.There are two things I don’t like about the Lamicall stand. One, the angle of the stand is not very adjustable. Two, the plate in the back that acts like a foot to allow the stand to sit at an angle, is smooth. As a result if you sit the stand on a smooth surface like a wooden or glass table, and you open it at a small angle, it slides on its own and changes the angle to its maximum setting. I was able to fix that by gluing a thin strip of rubber to the end of the plate that rests on the table to increase the friction. Of course now I am unable to close the stand all the way flat whenever I carry it around but that’s not a big deal to me. Other than these two issues, it is overall a good stand for a tablet or a mobile phone.

me ha gustado que es estable.no me ha gustado que eleva muy poco la tablet: en la foto de publicidad colocan la tablet en modo vertical, pero la mayoria de la gente que com pra esto es para colocar la tablet en modo horizontal y usar un teclado externo en caso de escribir. Ademas, es de plastico en su totalidad, a pesar que en las especificaciones tecnicas se menciona que es de aluminio. Por lo tanto el precio que he pagado es muy alto.

I love how portable and lightweight this is. It's stable and the two adjustment levels are handy. My only wish would be that it could hold screens at a more vertical angle without compromising the stability of it, but this is a problem I have with all device holders of this type. If I am using it for video conferencing, I don't want to be showing so much of the ceiling or up my nose. Having to prop them onto something else is a pain. Otherwise I have to pull out my larger stand holder that is on a swivel and can be angled however I like. Having something like this one with a wedge that pops out to make the device more vertical would be great. It may not answer all of what I wanted from it, but it still is a good holder on its own.

I love it. It does the job. My only problem is the back 'leg'. It's square, no rounded corners. That means when I put it on my lap, it digs in to me. Now, on a table or tray, not a problem. It's sturdy. But I like to use my tablet on my lap and so I have to make sure to put something down, first. Small problem, and I'll still happily use the stand.One other thing I really like is there is a curved "handle" at the back. It means I can carry the tablet and stand with one hand, instead of worrying about dropping it.There are little pads to help hold the tablet on the stand, but if it tips, it will fall off the stand, as the curve in the cradle is not very deep.Folds down flat, which is great for travelling.I would recommend this stand.
