These books are a God send. I bought a bunch of these for my son for when we have to sit for long periods when he gets his chemo treatments. There is zero mess and they are reusable. Unscrew the plastic pen, fill it with water, and then screw it closed. Then start "painting". Through some kind of awesome magic, the colors appear on the page and do not run. You can rub the page across your clothes and the only "mess" may be a little bit of excess water from the pen if you color the same part over and over again. To dry it, I usually stand the book on its side and spread the cardboard pages apart so they're not touching. Within about 5 minutes, the pages are dry and ready to be used again. When you're done, empty the pen and it fits into its own plastic holder on the front of the book. They are perfect and whoever invented these is a genius. These are perfect for little, little kids. My son is 3 and my daughter is 19 months and both love them and can handle using them independently. The price is great and the delivery was quick. My only wish is that all of the smaller books came in one big book. I'd pay for that. Another awesome Melissa and Doug product.

My 4 yo loves using this and finding the surprise pictures. It's just water,. So absolutely zero mess. It's fantastic for the car.

This product is awesome for keeping my daughter entertained for hours on end. I love that it's reusable (after a little drying time!) and that it just uses water! She rotated through several of these Water Wow!s on a long road trip and was happy as a clam.

All of my grandchildren love the water painter books. I have a 4 year old, and 2 three year olds. They have used them for the last 2 years. I had to replace one set of almost constant use after about a year. Good quality, no mess, learning, and lots of fun!!!

A friend had these books at a basketball game and they are fabulous! Kids can use the water paint brush to “paint” the picture and then it dries white and they can paint it again. Great storage case for the paintbrush. I bought 4 of these so I can keep one in each of our cars, one in the diaper bag and one at my work. Brilliant!

My daughter loved this! Overall great product. My only suggestion would be to have an attachable string so that the kids don't drop the pen while traveling or just don't lose it overall while being played with at home.
