Fish peptides under scrutiny: they do work, but not so well as ACE inhibitors - and they're expensive
The effectiveness of this product in lowering blood pressure seems to vary from person to person, as with prescription drugs. A physician told me it would be most effective in a patient whose hypertension was initiated by renal malfunction of some kind, as the natural fish peptides work the same way as ACE inhibitors. Not all patients with high BP have renal malfunction and not all are responsive to ACE inhibitors, so maybe in those cases it doesn't work so well. The effect of these peptides also seems to be amplified if used in conjunction with celery seed extract and allicin/garlic; I'm not sure why but they do seem to work better. In my case normal prescription medicine is 8mg/day of candesartan cilexetil which reduces the BP from stage 1 hypertension to the `desired' range, but which I found to have accumulating undesirable side-effects like nausea, lack of energy and inability to think straight. I stopped taking the candesartan in order to measure the effectiveness of the peptides, which I can confirm lowered BP by >20 points systolic/15 points diastolic after 6 weeks of regular use: not as good as the drug, but definitely a positive measurable effect. I've been taking 3x caps/day + celery seed extract + `Allitech' capsules, and no other medication. The conclusion seems to be that if ACE inhibitors work for you clinically (nb they don't work for everyone) then the peptides will work too as the same biological mechanism is being affected, although the peptides may not work so well. The big bonus is the peptide is a natural product, non-pharmaceutical and so free of side-effects - and of course you will cease to be dependent on pharmaceutical medicine. There's also the cost issue: these peptides are unavailable on NHS prescription so you have to pay for them yourself, and they're not cheap.Despite reservations and caveats, I have to award this product 4 stars because there is a definite positive measurable effect on BP. It would get 5 stars if it were even more effective, and half the price.

DIDNOT WORK FOR ME
I have been taking this product since 3 months, precisely as prescribed by Dr Murray. I also took the PGX, the potassium and the celery seeds as recommended in his book. I eat healthy food, exercise regularly and meditate. However blood pressure levels (average 140/90) didnot come down. Will not buy again.
