fun little tank
It's a super fun little tank chassis. I am currently 3d printing some Sherman tank bodywork for it. Add some RC gear for even more fun.

The treads are difficult to disassemble
It's not a bad purchase, but it would have been nice if they had included some kind of tool to disassemble the treads. They supplied three Allen keys for the machine screws, but no wrench for the nuts or tool for pushing the tread pins out easily. The treads are assembled like a linked watch band. links can be removed to resize the tread correctly. The wire for the pin is very small, so be careful when using a sharp object to push it out of the tread. Also when using the long machine screws for axels the hole should have been sized for the screw as axel position is important for straight line movement.

Entry level tank chassis, fun to assemble, with some minor hiccups
Decent for the price. Looks like some parts have been changed out/redesigned a bit from the manual, couple fit issues but expected from entry-level hobby bot. Install guide on website is way better than included printout. "Gaskets"=washers.PRO TIPS:Don't use a scratch awl to remove the track pins, use a small flatblade micro screwdriver the same diameter as the pins. I accidentally broke a trackpiece by slipping off top of pin and twisting through the track plastic. Apparently track can be installed either direction, photos in guide show both. I installed with track overhang width toward inside, leaving about 1/8" track clearance from chassis.Bearing wheels, where to begin... I decided to remove 1/8" length from the shaft, to get the wheel closer the frame and line the track up with the drive wheel (now installed fully onto motor post). Lube bearing wheel shafts before install, don't overtighten. When installing the bearing wheels in seemingly oversized mounting holes in frame, tighten loosely and slide wheel toward center of chassis. Once proper length track is installed, you can slide bearing wheels away from drive wheels and then tighten inside nut to remove "track slack".

2 large motors w/ tracks work well in DIY applications.
Very nice for price. 2 large motors. Nice gauge metal.

You get what you pay for. It is not bad, and it is not good.
Not much money, so not much lost. Would love to see actual bearings used on the wheels rather than just rotating on a bolted on shaft. The treads are hard plastic, so you wont grip on hard wood floors. It is cool that it come with a dual 18650 battery pack, but most people are gonna think these are AA batteries and they are not.
