Work piece is on bench dogs want clamps to hold two guide rails so i can router 2 slots. Will this fit under 1 inch gap? thanks

I am not certain exactly what you mean, but I can give you some measurements that might help. The distance from the end of the clamp to the face of the fixed jaw is about 0.71 inches, so the fixed jaw would fit into a 1" gap. When the back of the clamp is setting on the bench (standing up as shown in the product description photo), it is about 0.83" up to the top of bar. So the clamp bar would fit under something that is 1" clear of the bench. Hope this helps.

Will the bars fit in a work bench that have 3/4 inch diameter dog holes?

In answer to your question, yes, the bars are 0.6" and would therefore fit in a 3/4" hole. However, I don't see how you would get them into the holes. Neither jaw comes off the bar.

Where are these clamps made (as of 08/24/2015)?

I have about 10 of the small ones LM2.004 that I've picked up over the years. All of them are from China. The larger deep throat clamps and long parallel clamps I have are made in Germany.

Are these made in Germany as advertised? Or is it false advertising - see lots of comments re: China!

I have several big clamps that have Germany engraved on them. I have some small ones that have a China sticker on them. These have nothing on them. It would be a guess where these are from.

Great quality for the cost

I like these clamps alot! Easy to use, holds 2 woods together. Clamps are moderately strong but it does its job. Peeling off the dried wood glue is fast and simple.

Great, reliable small clamps

I love these clamps. Simple, reliable, just the right size. If you haven't used them before, they take a tiny bit of getting used to (they use a type of friction/tooth grab for the jaw to "set" on the bar), but after the first time, you pretty much get the hang of them. After that, they're a no-brainer. Oh, and did I mention they CLAMP solidly? No slip, no fuss, and they hold really well.I tried similar clamps from Rockler (I got a 4 pack for a good price as a deal), but they quickly proved inferior. The clamp stopped catching along the bar, which turned them into little more than weirdly-shaped paper weights in terms of utility. I've only had one of the over a dozen Bessey's of this style I own do something similar, and it still works with a little persistence. By comparison, 3 out of the 4 Rocklers have ended up in the trash after only six months.Basically, you can't beat Bessey.
