Animal-Speak Pocket Guide

It is accessible, insightful, worth having because it opens up ways to understand our surroundings, other beings, and their messages. This is a small book the size of an index card and about 1/4" thick. It is meant for quick reference, and has lists of common mammals, birds, insects, reptiles, sea life and FAQ about animal messengers. If you want more details, get Animal Speak. I consider the short tidbits about each animal guidance for my intuition -we need to meditate further on the meanings suggested by the book.

This is a great quick reference guide. I bought this as a gift for Donna at Soulful Awakenings. She does a crystal bowl meditation and each session is visited by an animal totem. Usually we wait for an Email review of the meditation to tie the animal guide to the meditation. The night she received the guide, she looked up the Spider and two people commented on the close tie of the spider to their meditation. Having the reference greatly increased the post meditation discussion. Remember, this is a quick reference guide and Animal Speak is the definitive source. I own Animal Speak and bought it for Donna to go with the guide and also a copy for my girlfriend.

I used to have one of the guidebooks in my car but somehow got lost so I ordered a second one.Love this for quick reference of Ted Andrews Animal Speak.

Let me start by saying that this really isn't a stand-alone book. The information it gives is so abbreviated that you really need to read Ted's other book, the larger-format Animal-Speak, of which this pocket guide is a much-condensed version. That said, it's great to carry this little book around to look up quick meanings when an animal, bird, or insect crosses my path. I find that it really helps me connect to the natural world and gives significance to those "chance" encounters with animals. It's interesting to notice patterns-- such as my continual encounters with crows-- and what they are "saying" to us. But by all means get the larger book, which has much more info.

I bought this book as a companion for the larger book, Animal Speak. This is a great pocket edition. It also includes several animals not included in the larger book. A terrific handy reference for those who want to be open to "messages" sent through the animal kingdom -- or who are looking for a means to increase their spiritual reflection or self-development in this topsy turvy world.Even my husband has found it very interesting to see what seeing various animals (including insects) can mean.Try it; you'll like it! It's fun!

I have the big book for home use and this pocket guide for the car. That way when I see something when I'm out walking or even just shopping, I can look it up. Don't have to wait until I get home. So easy! I've lost count of the number of these little pocket guides I've given friends and family. And, they use them!

Good edition, If you have animal speak edition its good to have this one to wear everywhere.No matter how much we cloack ourselves in civilization, we will always be a part of Nature....Nice quote!

brilliant little book to have in your pocket when out and about especially if you want to know what mother nature is trying to tell you everything is shortened off so the book is easy to keep in your pocket . so I would recommend it to anyone into the ways of the earth and living in harmony with nature.
