Excellent Value
I bought these on a slight discount for $14. Previously, I'd owned a pair of Audio-Technica ATH M40x headphones. A swivel joint broke after nearly 6 years of use, and those Audio-Technicas currently run nearly ten times the price, and I kid you not, provide similar audio quality to these Beringers. These headphones also have the added benefit of being light, and adequately comfortable in my experience, and I have a big head. No noticable aches after nearly a dozen hours of consistent use.My only complaint is that the chord is somewhat short, but that can be fixed with an aux extension. The design is simple and effecive, no gimmicks here. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Fairly decent for an extream budget headset
Don't expect too much. These headphones perform their function well but not anything spectacular. The ear cups are small, more of a child's size. The cord is coiled and looks to be quite durable. Comes with a 1/4" adapter from 1/8" and that is a nice touch

I was wanting a cheaper alternative to some good studio headphones
First off - the headphones are MUCH smaller than they look in the pictures. If you are looking for headphones that completely cover your ears, this is not the headset for you! I was wanting a cheaper alternative to some good studio headphones. I'm no professional, so this seemed like a good bargain. But as small as the ear cups are, the tops and bottoms of my ears hang out, and that isn't at all what I expected from the pictures. So beware: they aren't the full size headphones they look to be in the picture. That being said - the sound quality is really good! After I got over the initial discontent with the size, putting the headphones through some audio tests, they sound very good. In this price range, I haven't heard any better. So sound quality is 4-5 stars for sure. The build is cheap, but I didn't expect them to be solid for the price (which I'm also ok with).Overall not bad for the price. Sound quality is great. Size is not. Comfort is....eh 3 out of 5.

Heed the warnings
I bought these to listen to music on my iPod, work computer, and to block out background noise. These headphones do sound very good. I haven't a lot of experience with completely closed type sets, but the bass response is reasonable without becoming muddy. The highs are clear and the mids are smooth. However, if you are a hard core bass-head, they are pretty easy to over-drive. I think the overall sound quality is very good for the price. The major caveat? They are extremely uncomfortable to wear for any length of time. For some reason the manufacturer chose to omit a hinge that would enable the phones to pivot where they meet the headband. If you notice, their less expensive sets have this feature. This design choice results in difficulty adjusting the phones to lie flat against your ears. Once you do, the smallness of the cups cause discomfort where they touch your ears.It is hard to recommend these to anyone but those with the smallest of ears, despite the good sound quality.I am going to give the 2000 series with a pivoting hinge a shot, instead.

Good sound, comfortable and inexpensive
These headphones sound very good and are quite comfortable even when wearing them for hours. They sound as good as my $150 Sennheiser HD-595 and are nearly as comfortable. The construction is a little on the cheep side, but considering they are 1/5 the price of the HD-595''s you really can't go wrong with them. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because I had to glue the band padding back on. The cord is not detachable, but it is thick and coiled. The connector is a right angle 1/8" and comes with an 1/4" screw on adapter. If you want bare bones functionality at an affordable price these are the headphones to get.
