Q: Is there anyway to use this in a 23 inch wide window without blocking the vents with the second panel

The listing flat-out lies. Absolute minimum width is just under 35". That's the length of the two front panels with the holes, and you would have to cut the spacing panel to attach them together without blocking. The only way to get shorter is to stack the panels vertically, or use a circular saw or similar to cut three of the panels. Do NOT even bother trying with a hacksaw, you'll just make a frustrating mess that won't fit together and can't be returned. I've learned all of this the hard way. If you do not have a sliding or super-wide window, then get something else.

This is intended for use on windows. It won’t work on a sliding door. As you noted, it will be too short.

Good window kit.

I have a Whynter ARC-122DHP portable dual-exhaust A/C, and both original hoses that came with the A/C fit the adapters just fine. I see tiny gaps where the oval adapter sits into the oval cutout of the plate, but I can deal with that. No gaps that I can see for the circle adapter and cutout. For now, the adapters feel sturdy when attached to the cutouts, but I feel like they will start to fall out by themselves over time. We shall see. Overall, this is a great option to have since the original window kit that came with the unit sucked.

Meh. The clips that attach the hose to the window break easily.

Not terribly impressed. It's easy enough to install, but the foam that comes with it is very thin and insufficient. One of the clips on the piece that connects to the hose and attaches to plate failed almost immediately...

Fits good to any window. 2 duct system reduces negative pressure in a room so hot air doesn’t come in ( but not perfect). I would recommend this product

Low quality, parts don't snap tightly and the 5.9" hose end doesn't fit my hose

Cheap plastic, much lowers quality than any stock or OEM part. The connector isn't even the right size, it says 5.9 but it's doesn't fit my house which is the same size and thread direction. Buy elsewhere or not at all.
