Not for heavy use or even moderate use.
It is compact, it is lightweight, it will saw and if you use the proper technique and it'll chew through small limbs fairly quick. However, the blade sounds like a stainless steel blade, its very thin and if you just happened to push too hard you could probably bend it while sawing. The construction looks rushed, it definitely looks rough and cheaply made. The split lock washer that holds the blade into the handle wasn't tightened down all the way, so I had to do that. Then I had to oil it so it would open smoother.I had a slight malfunction of the saw while testing it where the lock that holds the blade slipped and the back end of the blade looked almost like it was going to come back and touch the back of my hand.I was going to keep this in my emergency "gotta go" bag but I think I'll find a higher quality blade for dependability. I wouldn't trust this blade if I needed it for actual survival.

This is a great little saw to have with you aroung the yard or hiking/camping.
Very surprised at the quality of this Saw. I got this for my wife because she is constantly out side in the yard doing something with the landscape. We were talking to a neighbor who is a farmer and sells fire wood on the side and we were discussing our pear trees and he was giving us tips on pruning, then he took out a little fold up pruning saw from his pocket to show us what to prune and my wife used it and loved how fast and easy it was to cut...so I knew she would want one. I came here to Amazon and found this Happy Swede branded one and read the reviews and bought it. whats not to like, it got good reviews, looked really good, it was priced right, and its Swedish... which I am half. lol. It was a good buy, worth it as it is razor sharp cuts fast easy to use and light enough to keep in the pocket for when you need it.

Super high quality hand saw!
This hand saw surpassed my expectation. It is extremely well constructed with very strong materials. I have never owned a hand saw this strong and durable. I find the safety feature easy to use. It opens up easily and locks strongly into place. This is not your average cheap flimsy hand saw. I did a ton of research before buying it and am ok with paying a higher price to get this quality. I look forward to many years of use. My primary use will be gardening. The two cords are slightly different from the photograph shown on Amazon in that the orange cord has a brighter color to it - very pleasing in my opinion. The shipping quality was just right. First the slipped it into a bubble wrap sleeve and then into a box that fit it just right. Then that went into a lightweight shipping bag. I am going to check out their website to see what else they carry that I might be interested in.

Surprisingly Good!
Took this little saw out for a couple days camping and used this to process some dead branches for firewood. About wore me out...but only because it cut so well that I couldn't stop. I saw a lot of folding saws for a lot more money, but saw a few great reviews for this one on YouTube and figured why spend a lot for something else that does just as well.*Edit* After two years it's still going strong. I bought a Silky Gomboy, and maybe just trying to baby it I've continued using this and it's still working just fine as my go to saw.

Tried It For the First Time Today - Ordering Another One!
I've had this saw for around 3 years & had never used it. Took down a 20-year old dead orange tree in my back yard with a reciprocating saw & an electric chainsaw. After getting all the branches removed, I had a 5-foot tall "stump" left. I sawed through the stump close to the ground, but the chainsaw wouldn't cut any longer after it got about halfway through the tree. It just couldn't cut the wood. I tried the reciprocating saw, but the same result. It wouldn't cut the wood. Figured I go buy a gas powered chain saw last night. Didn't know what else to do. This morning, I thought of this hand saw. I tried it. Wow! I though I was going to be in for a long day of sawing. It finished the stump in just a few minutes, then I used it to cut the roots around the tree to I could take up the stump. It cut really well. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved. I was careful, as it has a thin blade which could easily bend. I'm ordering another one.
