Great pot but crappy handle.
Straight away the finish at the bottom of the pot is lost where the fins are welded. The handle is really poor quality. The handle has only two rivets and feels lose and sloppy. The handle on far cheaper Fire maple pots are by far superior with a robust feel and 3 rivets. This pot is over priced no doubt about it. Should be around the $100 mark not $150. I have two of the fire maple pots and wish I had bought another and saved money instead of this pot.

Great Pot for MSR Dragonfly Stove! High Efficiency Heat Transfer!
Been using this pot with my MSR Dragonfly stove and it has been working perfectly. I was hesitant to get the pot to use with my stove since it is not specifically designed for it. I have been disappointed with the Dragonfly stove efficiency using other cookware and although this pot isn't as efficient as when paired with a Reactor stove, it boosted the efficiency of my Dragonfly significantly. I tested boiling two cups of water across my different cookware, this pot achieved a boil in a little less than 1/2 the time. However, it is still about twice the time needed to boil water compared to running with a reactor stove. One area where this pot isn't best suited is in simmering. It is high efficiency with the finned heat sink at the bottom, so food can easily scorch and burn if not rigorously stirred. Even with the simmer capability of the Dragonfly stove, it is not a great simmering pot. That said, most backpacking meals involve just boiling water for freeze-dried or other similar meals, and this pot works perfectly for that. It could even boil ice cold water in the morning for coffee in no time. All in all, I figure I can pack 1/2 the fuel for my stove using this pot. I'm glad it is offered without the stove so others can take advantage of it.

Effective design
I bought this msr cook pot specifically for a winter backpacking trip. I needed a pot that is light weight, efficient and durable. It also had to be efficient enough to be able to work with my MSR WHISPERLITE stove. The unique heat exchange design is a winner! I was able to melt large amounts of snow fairly quickly and bring it to a boil relatively quickly. Still no match for a Jetboil in boil time, but I think it's the best I've used for melting snow.Pros:Efficient and effective heat exchanger designDurable materialFolding handleUniversal stove adaptationCons:Weight (empty weight = 11.1 oz.)

Efficient boiling time and good diversity
Ordered as an alternative to my GSI tea kettle hoping this design would work well for boiling and cooking. On just a basic MSR pocket rocket at 6,500 elevation it water came to boiling much faster than the tea kettle came to boiling. This works great as a tea kettle and cooking pot. Makes oatmeal and pasta easily at 6,500 feet elevation. It can also act as your dining vessel quite good.
