Flexzilla Open Face Retractable Air Hose Reel, 3/8 in. x 50 ft., Heavy Duty, Lightweight, Hybrid, ZillaGreen - L8611FZ

Have eight of these reels in use in our shop. The function is great - the hoses remain pliable, easy to install and much more durable than the plastic counterparts. I'll continue to buy these units over the lincolns with stiff hoses. Also - I'm pretty sure they are cheaper than other legacy brands - it's a win/win. Have had to repair one hose, and replace another - that was also very simple AFTER I contacted customer support to get the correct part.

This is my second purchase of this item. Been great item to have in garage. I love the Flexzilla hose brand. I use them from pnuematic hose - gargen hose - pressure washer hose.

Perfect solid as a rock

Seems to be of very high quality. Haven't used it long enough to know its durability but it appears well built and should stand up to heavy use.I have two criticisms concerning installation. First there was no installation instructions included. While it was obvious that on an item this heavy you would want one side of the mounting bracket to be screwed into wood studs (or the equivalent, such as masonry). Given the spacing of the holes on the bracket, you would not be able to screw both sides of the bracket into 16-inch-on-center studs.Second, since it did not appear that the bracket could reasonably be detached from the reel and given the obvious stregnth of the spring servicing the retracting mechanism, I was not about to take any steps to disassemble it. As a result the distance between the reel and the mounting bracket left very little space to work to install lag bolts or screws into it. While I managed it with persistance, it took longer that I thought reasonable. I ended up using 2 1/2 inch lag bolts on the side that would go into the wood studs and Toggler toggle bolts on the hollow wall side.I would still recommend it, but this is not for someone without a good tool kit.

This is a great product, it works very well for me. Some reviewers say that they have trouble getting the hose to latch and not retract when extending the air hose. Just listen for the clicks as you extend the hose. You need to stop pulling out the hose when you hear the clicks, that is when it will latch.I use this air hose reel every day in a professional shop environment. it performs very well for me. As for the mounting issues that some have stated, no it does not come with mounting hardware, they would have no idea what you intend to mount to. One mounting tip I can give you is to trace out the mounting plate sitting on top of a piece of paper to give you a pattern where to drill the holes required for your application. Just take the pattern and tape it in the spot required and drill the required holes.

Just installed this yesterday. Very pleased so far. Pulling the hose is very smooth. Getting the hose to stay and retract is easy not like some brands. For under $200 I'm very pleased

I bought this reel over two months ago and use it quite a bit. It was purchased for a replacement. It seems reminiscent of reels on the back of welder trucks, which were always good. The Flexzilla hose is a good quality that I have been using for years prior to this reel

Love this thing. Sturdy and well built. My only complaint is the retraction is a little weak if you only pull the house out a few feet. I have to pull it out to like 10 feet and let the momentum carry it in. Other than that it’s perfect. I love it

Easy install and good flexible hose

This reel saves me so much time its hard to justify not owning one. It avoids trip hazards when installed on a ceiling, you need less hose out to do the work and it winds back up very consistently. A male connection on the end going into my compressor would be a nice addition to the package and the hose connecting to the reel could be a bit longer for a little more freedom.

The hose reel seems flimsy to me.
